Hi All,

A quick heads up. i am thinking about Trying out the following prototype cars that GoldTop has recommended in a test race this Sunday:

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ier-car-pack-1-uscc-mod.7348/

I have contacted Picnic to get them added to the server, so all being well there should be a race announcement in the next couple of days

The Corvettes are already on there as we used them a few weeks ago - I didn't bother adding the Oreca Prototype at the time as it has a mirror bug  thumbup1

We used the Daytona Prototypes a few weeks ago on a Wednesday and the consensus of opinion seemed pretty positive.

The Oreca LM Prototype Challenge car from the same series is also included in the mod and is a decent drive and although it may not be as involving as some of the better paymods out there, it is a little more exciting than the Praga we raced a couple of weeks ago. Might be worth a test race.

United Racing Design have a prototype mod (PX) which includes an LMP2 Ligier and some pretty well balanced LMP1 cars (unlike the Kunos LMP1s). They also have a well balanced GTE pack (EGT) from around the same era which drives really well. Both can be bought for beer money and could provide excellent racing.

Edit: As usual, Tim was quicker than me  Smiley

I am also looking at the GTE mod. I have bought the Ford GT but not had much time to drive it yet, but if people are bored with the Kunos GT3 and GT2 stuff this is probably the best option. I will be putting up some poles in the next few days to get opinions

Another race with the DP's? Yes please!!

In real life the LMPC cars were always considered really difficult to drive, being really old with no modern aids like ABS or TC.

Given the URD pricing I'd be more tempted to look towards the RSS GT1's or GTN's which are fantastic Wink

They're also 10% off I notice so you can pick up some of the old F1 cars for about 3 quid (trust me - they're well worth it!)

The URD GT pack looked good value, but old and they seemed to only offer either the Aston of Ford GT as more modern GT cars from 2018-2019

The URD GT pack looked good value, but old and they seemed to only offer either the Aston of Ford GT as more modern GT cars from 2018-2019

They also have the 2018 BMW M6

https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/bayro-egt-2018

The EGT pack might be old (from the IMSA 2013 season or thereabouts) but that doesn't make it any less fun to drive. Probably my favourite mod for offline racing especially with some LMP2 and DP opponents.

https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/ac-egt

URD also have a couple of nice modernish DTM packs. Again these are high quality and very driveable unlike the 2020 DTM car in Raceroom.

Mercedes, BMW and Audi from 2013 and 2015 seasons (6 cars total)

https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/ac-t5-full-pack

And from the 2018 season (3 cars total)....

https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/ac-t5-2018

As Tim says, the Race Sim Studio mods are also fantastic quality and don't forget the VRC mods. They do a prototype pack from around 2000 ish which again is superb.

https://vrc-modding-team.net/show/package/2

And while I'm here, there is the new 992 Porsche Cup from URD

https://www.unitedracingdesign.net/product-page/ac-darche-cup-2021

And from the makers of the Daytona Prototype mod probably one of the highest quality mods out there, the P13C

https://www.iersimulations.com/p13c-home.html

I have all of these and others and would happily race any of them. We are indeed spoilt for choice when it comes to AC!

If anyone is interested in some Friday night P1/GT3 multiclass racing in AC, RD has just added a few more events to its series which is open for all......you don't have to be a premium RD member to attend but grid slots fill up quickly.

https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/le-mans-series-friday-night-events-with-assetto-corsa.205988/

Follow the link in the first post to the simracing.gp website where you can register and sign up, then choose the car you'll be racing and this links to your steam id so no passwords needed for the server.

I've joined the last couple of events with the P1 Audi and although it's not quite up there with the Porsche, it's a good drive. Racing is generally pretty clean and fair and scratches my multiclass itch  Smiley
