Its bad McLaren can't get a second decent driver and have to gamble on the unproven. Hope he does well tho, we need a strong(er) McLaren.

To be fair they've been grooming him for this seat since his karting days.

More bonkers is that Gary Paffett, having announced that he was leaving the team to try and get a race seat, is back as a test driver.

More bonkers is that Gary Paffett, having announced that he was leaving the team to try and get a race seat, is back as a test driver.

He was going to take Davidson's testing role at Honda but Mr Ron said "no stay with us" BEFORE he let loose Lewis (knowingly) would get the drive...so sneaky!

Now Gary has no choice...shame, and kicking himself i bet
