I would say that a rolling start would be better, standing starts on the banking always cause problems with cars going sideways. The RRE rolling start procedure works well I think.

Sorry Dieter, completely my fault.
Did you get a slow down?, or did you slow down yourself?. Either way, you were robbed, that third was yours. Great pace, especially through the bus stop.
Sorry again, I won't see which way you go in the next one.

Results will be delayed. The server has decided to export the results as a .JSON file rather than the usual .XML and It is only a local file.

In the immortal words of captain James T Kirk "Scottie I need more power!" not sure why the mustang was so slow at this track, looking at the time the first sector the mustang was there abouts, but the final 2 sectors is was so slow nearly 2 seconds off the pace from the Audi and Nissan. Congrats Toni on the win and to the podium. Driving the Mustang was like steering a super tanker as its so big and heavy, would of thought it would of had some straight line speed to level out the playing field. I did notice the Nissan had a penalty weight not sure what that was all about still didn't seem to slow it down lol
good fun

The Nissan has a power reduction and a bit of weight penalty. I think it needs more power reduction Toni doesn't think so..... but then he is using it The Audi also has a small power reduction. As Geoff has said, the Mustang will come into it's own at a less power track. I still think the Nissan, and to a lesser extent the Audi are slightly too fast.

Really enjoyed that, fighting with the Audis throughout.
@Eck - No worries. I didn't realise at the time that you had lost the rear under braking, so wasn't sure if maybe I had turned in on you. Slowed to let you (and Mark) by on the banking, but it's all good. With no chance of catching the fast two at the front I would much rather drop back into a mid-pack battle anyway, than be stuck out in P3 on my own.
Good fun. Congrats Toni, Pete and Eck.

Yeh the Mustang was always going to struggle here, just does not have the power of the Nissan or traction of the Audi. I guess John was running a higher wing than me as he seemed quicker in the corners but slower on the straight & that Frex was doing the opposite as he easily passed me on the straight early on. Spent all the race chasing John, got close a couple of times but made a few mistakes trying in vain to get the car off the corners better without losing traction at the rear. Congrats to Toni, Pete & Eck on the podium.

It would be nice if all three cars were competitive on all tracks, in practice this seems very tricky given how slow the Mustang is. The weight penalty on the Nissan wasn't doing much at Daytona because the advantage comes on the oval section. My lap times were the same as they were in practice without the ballast.
We had some good racing with Pete until he fell back. Congrats to podium finishers.

In testing I did reduce the Nissan power even more, but that seemed to limit it too much I will have a play again, and see what is a reasonable limit for it.
