Congratulations to the Series podium! I know what you mean with these cars Matt, oddly enough this was the most comfortable race for me until too heavy a right foot coming off a kerb caused a 180 spin leaving me on the racing line facing the wrong way. Luckily the first car avoided me, I took a load of throttle and was just letting clutch back when another car appeared causing me to abort my manoeuvre and roll into the Armco finishing up at 90 degrees with no option to get running again without reversing on to track, so I reluctantly quit!

Happy to have won the championship, but I don't think I really deserved it. Jos was running away with it until he vanished & John mostly dominated the second half of the series, so it was only the fact that I turned up for all the races that decided it. Fairly lonely race after the first few laps, I was keeping John & Jay in sight until I had a half spin after which it was just a case of getting to the finish. Congrats to Jay on an excellent debut & to John in 2nd. Just a shame that only 5 of us turned up for the race. Afterwards I tried out the Audi R18 that I have just purchased for the upcoming P1 series & is also in next weeks RRE Ranked Enduro at Monza. I thought that it would be quite easy to drive, but no, it hates kerbs & the visibility out of it is terrible making it very hard to place in the corners. Took me about 10 laps at Monza before I got a valid lap.

Bill mentioned the visibilty. Plainly I am not going fast enough as I can see everything I need to see Not noticed kerb behavior yet. I ran all 3 briefly, Didn't spend much time in the Audi diesel, as I wasn't chasing an emmisions rebate..... but all of them to me are a fairly easy drive with default setups, even at map 5 If you start increasing front grip, and don't reduce engine braking they do start to get a bit looser

The kerbs on some corners at Monza are quite severe which doesn't help, on other tracks it may not be such an issue.

On visibility. I use nose view, not cockpit view, so I am probably not having the same issue

Brands is particularly tricky for me in the P1 cars. I keep missing the apexes and exits because I can't see them until I'm on top of them. I'll have to try the nose cam.

I just had a play using cockpit view at Brands in a P1 I get the point. I had not noticed it as I use bonnet view There are settings that can make cockpit view less of a challenge, though they may not be good for all
Go in to Options, and try this as a suggestion, adjust to suit: Field of View Advanced FOV Screen Size = 46" Distance to screen = 26" 66cm Head Height offset = 0 Cockpit camera pitch = 0

Or just use chase cam?
Just changing the view isnt going to work for every one Matt. Especially as its looks like youve made similar to bonnet with those settings

Yes, I tried that Advanced FOV when it first appeared, put in my screen size & distance to screen & hey presto I end up sitting on the bonnet. I want to be sitting in the car, not on the front of it. Having tried the Audi for the RRE Enduro on Wednesday, I also had a go in the 911RSR GTE car. Although I am not a fan of Pork, that car is brilliant fun, makes a great noise & is easy to drive. Would make a great one make series.

DIfferent screens etc. With my 1920 screen I was still in the car, but further forward As I said "adjust to suit"
I like these P1s they suit what I am trying to do. If enough people want the pork I will change it Last time I tried a modern GT3 series it was mostly ignored though.
