Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Track: Spa-Francorchamps (GP)

Cars allowed: Any standard GTC-65 car (excluding the Ford GT40). Car roster HERE

Note: Driver's can only choose one car make per race. No repeat drives. Applies to Round's 11 to 15.

CUP STAGE C, Round 11

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (18 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops required: NO

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

I might try the GT350.

Edit: No that's a bit too slow, I will take the E-type.

Sorry to anyone who hit me at the start, the car started creeping forward & I had to brake, then let the clutch out & stalled it. So annoyed I quit. Angry Angry Angry

Results and replay now posted.

If Janosch can go to his Profile and enter a country into Driver Details we can give him a flag next to his name in the results.

Sorry Geoffers, the big hit came from me. I couldn't see your car and all of a sudden it was there and I couldn't avoid. Not all your fault because I should have been prepared for an incident like that as it's not uncommon at racestarts. A shame it ruined your race.
My race was quite enjoyable. Tried to keep up with Tony in the Jag. I noticed that I was taking greater risks at eau rouge lap after lap to keep up for the uphill part but in the end after a lot of mutual laughs I had to give up, the man was too fast. a big thank you for the fun Tony. What a pity Kurt and Clive pulled out rather early in the race, I am sure we could have had a lot of Healey fun together and maybe even make Tony's life miserable! And a round of applause for Clive for the great save on the slippery stuff just past eau rouge.
Well, up to Wednesday's Challenge, I won't put any money on me making it to the finish. So far I even find getting the car off the line a real adventure, it either bogs down stone dead or it sends me spinning off the track collecting some other cars in the process. Tip, don't qualify anywhere near me on the grid!

Cheers, Dan

Lonely race for me but very good and consistent. I didn't made any mistake during the 18 laps and was able to take P2 after mistakes from Shaggy and AGM.

Geoff was very unlucky at the start and i was very curious to see how his race will proceed because he was doing wonders with the Jag and was going to have better tires at the end.

Grats to Manfred and all survivors.

Make sure that you are using the V2.0 version of these Porsche 935's. They are easier to drive as the physics had a big overhaul. If the readme file (Porsche 935_LIESSMICH.txt) in the Porsche 935 folder has a date of 08/10/2010 23.03.2010 you have the correct version. If not, you need the download.

That is why I was so annoyed with myself at the start & quit. I was really looking forward to seeing how close I could keep to the V8s with the hope of having better tyres in the later laps. I was actually amazed at how fast the E-type was around Spa, in fact on my best qually lap I made a mistake which cost me about 0.5s.

Cool

Had hoped for some laps of fun with the Healeys too and maybe some of the slower Jags, but ...
Sorry Dan for blocking you in lap one. I only saw one light blue car in the mirror which in fact was
Janosch in the Jag clearly behind me. I simply did not see you  Roll Eyes
