Lovely. I'll work out how to use the wing on the Chap 2F. Is it operated by a toggle on/off switch or do you have to hold the button down to activate it?

You what?!

But from looking at http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=12615 you are right!

This mod allows the player to control the wing position dynamically while driving using either the keyboard, steering wheel buttons, or the clutch pedal.

From the readme at http://sportscars67.gplworld.de/   looks as though it uses the key/button configured in controls for view pit board.
Keep the button depressed,  it's not a toggle.

Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Dave. No toggle so I've assigned right flappy paddle to "c" so that I can still change gear (I use clutch and H-shifter) with left hand (I drive a right-hand drive car in R/L) whilst operating the wing. Let's see what top speed is down the Mulsanne Straight.

Best is to use the 2F gearbox as it was, it had an automatic clutch and this pedal was used to move the wing.

So on a straight you push both pedals to the floor...

Does that mean that you select automatic shifting from the GPL menus? Personally, I'd prefer to drive a manual but I may just try this for fun.

No, Chaps had no automatic shifting but an electric clutch.

I know this from the old Beetles with this kind of clutch, when you touched the shifter the clutch disengaged.

Track ran faultlessly here.  Only trouble was a duff engine after side-swiping Greg on the pit straight and we both went off a ton.  Sorry, GT.  Largely my fault.  Had to endure 14 laps on seven cylinders.  Some fun trying to hang onto Phil's Mk4 but without the extra beans under the hood, it was a lost cause.

TY for hosting.

A slipstream event can turn into something boring easily, but not at Le Mans in a Porsche! The race was long enough to feel like an endurance event instead of a sprint test, and sitting in a slow “GT3“ car was still fun.

Congrats to the winner and podium finishers. Having this patch, I must say from now we are all winners at Le Mans Smiley

I took the MK4 simply because I wanted to be sure there would be as many different cars as possible on the grid for this test. I fully expected to see more Chapps chosen for this race and was surprised that so many opted for the MK4 Ford tow truck.

The track was faultless and I just wish my driving could have been as good  Undecided. too many offs and mistakes with a setup  that was decidedly undecided mid corner, but absolutely magic in getting that awesome 7 litre power onto the tarmac.

The only observation that I can make probably has nothing to do with the track fix patch, but my Pribluda was having a nervous breakdown at times.

Once I saw 3 "Phil Thorntons" . One was ahead and two were behind me, and then one morphed into a Doni Huh Cars that were ahead on track suddenly were behind me by 300mtrs before jumping ahead again lol. It did make things difficult working out my actual race position. But  like I said this is another issue with Prib abd nothing to do with the Antifreeze Patch.

Thanks to Lee and Ginetto for finally killing the gremlin that afflicted so many good tracks.   thumbup2 thumbup2
