Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 286s

Perdy is leading the field round on the warmup lap, and well after parabolicahe is going slowly and weaving. Luke Mustoo I think assume that Perdy has slowed to pit limiter speed and is holding station behind. Suddenly Perdy seems to brake and apply the limiter all at once, which makes Luke brake to avoid contact. There is a concertina effect backwards and several cars make contact behind.

This would appear to be caused by a failure to follow the starting procedure. Perdy should really have slowed and engaged the limiter earlier, Luke should not have closed up behind until Perdy's limiter was on, and Perdy should not have braked. I don't think any of this was intentional though, so I propose to issue just a caution. Can I ask all drivers to make sure that they understand the starting procedure.

Server replay time: 400s

Perdy unfortunately cuts the chicanes many times, sometimes blatantly, which leaves me no option but to exclude him from the race.

Server replay time: 451s

Beholder repeatedly and blatantly cuts the chicanes. I am left with no option but to exclude him from the race.

  • John (Beholder)penalty — Repeated and blatant cutting — excluded

Server replay time: 602s

EdamSpeed runs into the back of Martin 'Blunder' Mason at the 2nd chicane. Martin appears to brake very early and hard so that he loses a lot of speed. He also drifts across to the middle of the track, leaving less room for Edamspeed to avoid him. In theory this should be a penalty, but the very early braking, the drift to the centre and the fact that Edamspeed took a drive through penalty make me feel that a penalty is a bit excessive.

  • EdamSpeedwarning — Rear end shunt
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 645s

Paul Richards gets a run on Adam Parle down to Parabolica. Adam takes a defensive line on the right and Paul tries to slide up the left side as they enter the corner. Paul does get a bit of overlap but it is very late and marginal. As they turn in, Adam slides a bit wide and paul moves across to the inside somewhat. Adams rear left makes contact with Pauls front right and Paul is bumped off into the gravel.

I think this was always a risky move by Paul, as Adam was quite likely to slide a bit wide. Had Paul been at least level then trying to go round the outside might have been on, but not here. As a result I'm calling this a racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1781s

TinMan rear ends beholder at the parabolica.

Not too much to say in TinMan's defense here. He isn't clearly to one side in case Beholder brakes a bit early, and he brakes pretty much at the last possible moment to make the corner. This is a classic situation where a bit of caution was needed, perhaps braking earlier (but less) and positioning the car to one side. Either would have prevented the incident without giving up the chance of a pass on the next straight.

  • TinManpenalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 1816s

Exteg Martin almost takes Edamspeed out when rejoining after Lesmo 2. He is 90 deg to the track and drives straight on. Only luck prevents a massive smash. This is an extremely dangerous move - martin should have at least tried to get the car at more of an angle before rejoining, as well as looking very carefully for approaching cars. I have reduced the penalty because contact was narrowly avoided.

  • exteg martinpenalty — Bad Rejoin — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1954s

Rob B rear ends Edamspeed into T1. There isn't much to say here as Rob does little to help avoid the contact (just like TinMan).

Ha!

I rely solely on Orange for this one, only re-registered yesterday so I think my chances of making this one are slim Sad

I was under the impression that BMW M3s were G2 cars. Or are the classes displayed in GTR2 incorrect?

They're correct Nevski, the ballast adjustments even things out though, allowing a greater spread of cars to be used.

So M3s don"t score points. But can they still take points away from NGTs that finish behind them?

The Beamer is in the UKGTR NGT classification so counts for points as any other NGT does.

Okay, I see what you mean. So what do the announcements mean by saying G2 cars won't score points?

That was a waste of another Tuesday evening, qually was ok but the race for me was a shambles. I even managed to drive into the back of Beholder while on the pit limiter at the start, sorry for that. Ruined my race as the aero damage lost me grip at the front. Rest was worth forgetting. Left in the end to save anyone else anguish  :'(

Firstly the Picnic incident on the 1st lap.
No apology requiered mate.
The cars in front of me were on the pit limiter so i closed up and switched mine on.
All of a sudden the brakes on the car infront slammed on.
Causing me to nearly career up the arse of the car in front.
And then causing a knock on effect.
So it was'nt your fault mate.

Secondly.
Whats the point of turning up to these races.
If the car behind so badly wants to get past,he rams you off.
Twice it happened.
It got to a point where i was eventually 15th from 4th.
So i was totally cheesed of and eventually lost my head and floored into a wall.
Just so i have'nt got an unknown as to why i did'nt finish.

Anyway.
Check out the replay Picnic to see the rolling start.
I mean did something suddenly run across the track or what.

Another excellent race at the back of the field!
Apart from the kind gentleman who pushed me off at the second chicane!?
Otherwise lots of very close quality racing.
Managed an 11th for my first race with Team Oldie!
I must get extra marks for being bald and 11th!? is that not in the rules!? Grin

Go Team Oldie!! ( Not sure what happened to my team mates!? )
