Had fantastic fun for the first half of the race, having really great David and Goliath battles with me in my nimble little Elan against the boat of radius and DG's rather sexy looking Tiv. It was a bit frustrating to be all over them like a cheap suit in the corners, only for them to leave me standing on the straights, but great fun all the same. I could almost see Rad smugly waving as he drafted back past me each time, only to watch helplessly as i cut up the inside of him at Parabolica with me grinning like a cheshire cat I did all that hard work battling the big beasts only for Ribeiro and Pops to sneak back up on me and in a lapse of concentration i lost the back end at T1 They scampered off with a 5 second lead and as i drove like a loon to catch up, i then threw it off at the same flipping corner 3 more times. Everyone behind me had retired. and with a 13 second deficit, decided to bin it as a cricked neck i've suffered from all week was giving me serious jip. Good fun but dont really like the GTC65 class, they are too unpredictable and hopeless in tight corners...or is that just me

decided to bin it as a cricked neck i've suffered from all week was giving me serious jip. Must be something in the water - I did mine in the NGT Sprint race on Tuesday night. Didn't notice anything wrong whilst racing but once the adrenaline stopped flowing after the race I realised I'd done something quite painful to the right side of my neck. Good fun but dont really like the GTC65 class, they are too unpredictable and hopeless in tight corners...or is that just me It's just you (and the Elan). These cars probably have to be driven more smoothly than any others in GTL but they slide around delightfully.

Wow that was fun!
Qualified in 7th best ever!
Ran well at the start and picked off a few mainly due to their minor errors. Frightened me to death when I was in 3rd!! Unfortunately whoever it was in 4th was catching all the time and with tyres going I was struggling to maintain the pace! So to the last lap in 4th and completely got blinkered chasing 3rd, missed my braking point and slammed into the wall!! rejoined for 7th so can't complain too much but will reflect on what could have been!!
Many Thanks to team mate Tom Tinman Cooper for sharing his set up to allow me to be anywhere competitive.
Go Team Oldie!
Grats to the podium! excellent racing!
M.

Very happy with my 8th place, I don't think I've touched GTL since GTR2 came out! I was a fair bit off the pace so I decided to just drive fairly conservatively and consistently and see how the race progressed. I had a nightmare first couple of laps, really slow, I dropped down from 10th to 14th, that was a lack of "match practice" but when I got up to speed I managed to catch the 3 way Jonzo/Radius/PRibiero scrap. Mark went off followed by a heart-stopping Radius spin in the 'wall of death', I'm not sure how I missed you Rad! I was then stuck 1s behind Pribiero for what seemed like forever, every time I put a good lap in, he did the same. Great driving. We caught Bernie and had a nice scrap for a while until Pribiero then Bernie fell off leaving me on my own with the challenge of trying not to get lapped which I managed by about a metre or two in the end I know I'm probably in the minority but those club circuits can be FUN

Replay and provisional results available. Sorry about the cock-up with the server password and name. Will get it right next week. Didn't know about the password change until Gizmo pointed it out to me on TS and haven't been getting emails from the forums so I'm running round like a headless chicken 2 minutes before server trying to catch up with stuff.

I thought the tvr tyres would go off earlier, in the start i had no pace for ruskus and foster, i was very slow in the chicane maybe because car felt very diferent with lots of gas.
still happy with Pole and fastest lap.

Great adrenaline rush racing round this tight little track, knowing that every time you spear through the chicane of death it may be your last Started 6th and had a great battle with a couple of TVRs throughout the race. The Elan was no match on the straights but in the different league in the turns. Finally got into a safe 4th with 10 laps to go and set about closing down on Mason who was 4 seconds up the road. Caught him with 4 to go and eventually made the pass on the penultimate lap. Was well clear crossing the line to start the final lap, but as I braked for T1 I could see Mason in my mirrors wasn't braking at all, so I had to go straight on and wait for him to fly past rather than getting speared by a 100 mph TVR. By then it was a bit late for turning in and the back end came round when it touched the grass verge. That was just enough to allow the 5th place Baracus to steal my podium Congrats to Stu Foster who was almost untouchable in the GTL arena as per usual

Not really a fan of the muscle cars in GTC-65. Hopefully we'll get to drive the nice cars like Fez and Healey soon. Spent all of practice/qual trying to find a setup that I could drive a lap with. Just managed to get there and in the race had some good battles early on. Then started feeling like there was no grip and hit the tyres twice allowing Gizmo to catch up. Then he dropped and I had a very boring section of the race with no one in sight, but started getting smoother and faster and more consistent with no one around and my pace was back to as fast as I could go with the car. With about 3 laps to go I was in touching distance of Tom Cooper, but no chance of catching really, but Martin ahead even further had a mare last lap and I passed his recovering car at T1 to take 6th.
Well done Stu on the win and unlucky half you guys for disco's and accidents etc.

Nevski buddy,
Sorry about that, got so blinkered trying to catch you that I completely missed my braking point and slammed into the wall. I obviously got away without hitting you. Sorry to here it forced an error and loss of podium!? You deserved it!
I can't apologise enough!?

No worries man. Easy to get brain fade at the end of a 40 lap race.
