Season Break 38/39 - Fun + Test – 69x - Solitude

This fun race takes us to the Solitude track near Stuttgart in Germany.
The Solitude race track was used predominantly for motorcycle racing. Not as daunting as the Nuerburgring, but it’s quite a challenge with a deceptively fast back section

This track had problems that hopefully got solved by the new
Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch v.09
Put the .xml in the ../GPLSecrets/GEM+/Options/ folder and activate it in GEM for all mods!

Race list = iGOR
Server = UKGPL_8_60fps

Password = see above

60fps Patch = 60fpsV1
Track directory = Solitude
Qualifying starts = 20:45 UK time - 45 minutes
Race starts = ~ 21:30 UK time
Race length = 14 laps

Handicapping:
There will be no handicapping.  Drivers have a free choice of chassis. Unlimited number of Shift-Rs are allowed with no need to make a Stop and Go.

This is a fun race so incidents will not be moderated but please drive carefully and with consideration for others.

Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

Some success at the track, despite a couple of glitches on the track, from numerous mini-glitches in the graphics.  Exited the track during practice to refire both X and P, but no change. Undecided  1998 framerate skills were needed, with time enough for a single grid spotting fling.

Having found my Ferrari's sweet spot, I was able to explore the array of racing lines available through the return section of the track.  There's a perfect line hiding in there somewhere!  Much fun foraging for it, and catching sight of Tristan's tailpipes. laugh

Great result for you Martin, you were obviously driving very well!  I'm amazed at Tris' time, over 5 seconds a lap faster than anyone else  eek

I'll have to look at the replay to see how he did it!
