Practiced in wrong class yesterday  Roll Eyes - it's a shame - the 850 Mini IMO fits perfect to this track.

So - back to zero  Tongue

Yet again I find I'm woefully off-pace. I'm strongly suspecting that my loud pedal is under performing.

I have a PC rebuild to do (first in over 10 years) then I'll tackle the pedals. I have an old spare set of pedals that I can use for parts. Can I swop out the throttle pot for the one for the clutch pedal?

Possibly a pedals issue - what I noticed over the last few races is, that your braking lights are always flickering.

Yep, I can confirm that Tony. Might be a quick fix to add in a deadzone to see if the pace comes straight back, at least you know it is the brake then.....

Thanks Guy's. Honestly had not considered a brake issue. I'll investigate that, cheers.

Don't worry Tony. You're not the only one with wheel issues. I've had double down shifting issue with G29 before and it came back yesterday. Trying reseting wheel only made FFB go crazy. I cured the issue in race after first spin by punching the steeringwheel. Feels like steeringwheel is getting loose from the motor. Compared to G25 I had previously G29 is rubbish. After spinning I caught and overtook Nappe couple times but he really wanted to win and fought back ferociously. Well deserved win to him.

Excellent race with Daz in the Abarths, little between us all race & contact just once when I bumped Daz into a spin at T4 early on.

The gearing is all important on the Abarth to keep it in the power band & last year I had it wrong & was off the pace, so experimented with the gearing in testing & found 0.5s over last year. Still it wasn't ideal & I was flat out in top well before the end of the back 'straight' but that seemed the fastest way.
Downside was the car was like a snail off the start with such a high first gear & I dropped to 4th at the start. Passed Kurt on lap 1 & Matt a lap or two later by which time Daz was already nearly 2s ahead. It took several laps to close the gap & several more before I found a legitimate way past only to lose it again on the next straight. Got ahead again on the next lap but just could not shake off Daz's attentions, he seemed quicker in the first half of the lap, but I had the edge in the second half. Eventually opened up over 2s lead but nearly threw it away with a big grassy moment onto the S/F straight about 4 laps from the end.

Congrats to Daz & Matt & to Lasse winning the 500s.  clap clap clap

Yes, race long battle there, good stuff. As Geoffers says, contact once as I tried to hold him at bay was the only time we tangled. Apologies for being so slow to catch up Geoffers, the get away on the Abarth is so poor that it stalled of course....

I did have a gap, but I knew Geoffers had a big advantage here from quali. Nevertheless, I held him off as long as I was able to, it just got a little harder in the quicker stuff lap by lap. Our gearing was definitely different, my car was sluggish in 3rd and 4th in comparison, but I had slightly longer legs. In trying too hard I generated 2 cut warning by lap 12, so it was a minor miracle to finish without a stop and go!

Good fun, always been a fun circuit in anything really. Grats to all.

Qualifying difference between Suti and I was 0.003 seconds, but as I did my qualifying with race fuel, I thought having a possibility. Smiley And it came as reality. Great race with focus needed every single moment. Usually my nerves can't handle races like this, but sonething was different this time.

Very close racing all 29 laps and even if I would have been second, I wouldn't change the feeling how great that was. Smiley

Decided to go with the more nervous and higher revving Giannini 650, although the Abarth seems easier to drive - but slower in my hands.
After a few spins - especially in the chicane - in the early stages, I started to drive less aggressively and found that I could go between
0.5 and one second faster per lap as a result.

Funny but lonely remainder of the race.
