Moderator's Report

The cutting rules at this track caused some confusion, due to the unusual dotted white line before the final corner. A couple drivers were reported for cutting this, but I'm happy to report they were within the legal track surface.

Server replay time: 1579s

Flybri has just lapped Bernie's NGT, but makes a mistake at the next corner and runs partly off the track, letting Bernie get back alongside. Flybri correctly holds his car tight to the inside, but Bernie turns in on him, knocking both cars off the track.

Bernie shouldn't have assumed that he'd cleared Flybri, and should have left some room. However, Bernie was in a tricky position with another GT bearing down on him, so I'm reducing this to a zero place penalty.

  • Bernie Lomaxpenalty — Side-by-side contact — 0 places lost

Server replay time: 2565s

Radius is closing on Nevarn Richard when the latter gets a wheel on the grass and goes into a spin. Radius has no chance of avoiding him, spinning Nevarn around again. Jimmie had a good view of the spinning cars, but makes little attempt to slow down, resulting in contact with Nevarn. This impact knocks Nevarn into the path of Bernie, who had slowed and was trying to pass on the inside.

  • Jimmie ([R24-7]Jimmie)warning — Lack of care when approaching an incident.
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Depends what compound tyre you're running. That and maybe it feels better because when the grip goes it's more gradual when the tyres are colder - when they are hotter you usually have more grip - so when you lose that grip, you're going faster and it might be more of a snap and more difficult to control. All just educated guessing here. My Monza setup feels best on Medium fronts and they ran between 60-80.
It's also down to the way you turn in. Gradual, smooth drivers will most likely benefit from higher temps as the grip is instant plus they are more gentle with their tyres over a stint. People who tend to chuck the car in ( Grin) may not need such high temperatures as sliding is easier with lower temps and then the slide can be controlled throughout the corner to aid turn in.
Technical, but I think it's all relevant

good point.

was talking about soft front/medium rear combo, u know, the usual  Grin

so I'm right about lambo temps? do lambo michelins work better on low temps? anything above 95 feels.... burned out or smthn. very weird and not consistant.

Bear in mind that Hock Nat'l will be one of the track you'll need to "unlock" by doing the training stuff if you haven't used the cheat. I think you can play it online with the practice server though even if it's locked.

- lambo tyres. shoot me if I'm wrong but lambo tends to feel better on low 80 deg.Celsius tyre temp, not more. whatever happened to mid 90's? huh? must have a word with the local Michelin dealer  Grin

Optimum tyre temp is 80 degrees for Michelin slicks and 60-95 for rain tyres.

No seriously! We cant go the whole season without a rain event. That just sucks the big one!

There isn't as much rain in the world as you would think...

I'm looking at a totally different solution for next season.

Some other leagues have been testing with weather.txt files and they did the testing with succes.
Just a weahter announcement like after 30 minutes it starts light raining and at 50 minutes it stops for example. Might not be totally realistic knowing exactly whats gonna happen but it will add quite some pit strategy I think Cheesy
