Moderator's Report

The cutting rules at this track caused some confusion, due to the unusual dotted white line before the final corner. A couple drivers were reported for cutting this, but I'm happy to report they were within the legal track surface.

Server replay time: 1579s

Flybri has just lapped Bernie's NGT, but makes a mistake at the next corner and runs partly off the track, letting Bernie get back alongside. Flybri correctly holds his car tight to the inside, but Bernie turns in on him, knocking both cars off the track.

Bernie shouldn't have assumed that he'd cleared Flybri, and should have left some room. However, Bernie was in a tricky position with another GT bearing down on him, so I'm reducing this to a zero place penalty.

  • Bernie Lomaxpenalty — Side-by-side contact — 0 places lost

Server replay time: 2565s

Radius is closing on Nevarn Richard when the latter gets a wheel on the grass and goes into a spin. Radius has no chance of avoiding him, spinning Nevarn around again. Jimmie had a good view of the spinning cars, but makes little attempt to slow down, resulting in contact with Nevarn. This impact knocks Nevarn into the path of Bernie, who had slowed and was trying to pass on the inside.

  • Jimmie ([R24-7]Jimmie)warning — Lack of care when approaching an incident.
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Had a look at replay, it's about 490 that the collision with BMW takes place. It looks like Jimmie clipped it too. The BMW does not actually appear in the replay so I guess it was a glitch rather than an accident.

Yeah I actually noticed that in my replay the damage (to the car) is different to the server replay, interesting Smiley

That was PR's M3, i hit it as well following you too closely, big damage on the left but i learnt to drive around that. Was OK race, held up by both Kerr and Jimmie's lambos..they just cost me so much time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Cheesy

...but i got them both when they leave small gaps and I'm in and they wont get it back lol

The saleen once again eat its tires so i had to wrestle the thing around all race and i think i did the best job out there tonight (apart from CJ ofc) lambos are just so easy @ Hock...even more so Hock Nat as i was faster than Rus's lambo time in a offline Lambo praccy and 550 was even faster. So it was Saleen and drive my hardest which was a bit fun i guess.

Im really getting bored with GTR2's repetitive nature....i already know how a race will end up @ SRou before its run, maybe one or 2 surprises but generally the same..I'm not referring to drivers individual pace but the serious lack of variation amongst driving machines.

Was sad to see Martin leave as he, Mark MC myself and Simon  Wink the only guys choosing to race different cars most events...the rest of grid was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 550 & lambo...like tonight's race for eg.

think most of that is a little uncalled for.

Yes it seem that Claus and Ruskus are always the front runners but it's for everyone else to catch them, not sure how but I will try to improve.

As for blaming me and Jimmie holding you up it seems a pretty bitter statement to make. I could hold you off without much problem as matching lap times throughout the race. I got caught out by slower back marker and you barged him out the way to make the pass. I have no complaints as you never hit me.

Jimmie was driving well then I could see he developed handling issues but you were only behind him for a few laps. He had enough pace before to gain an advantage.

Not sure the point in also criticising Lambo drivers etc. Before Monza the complaint was people changing cars to suit tracks and gain advantage and not sticking by their original choice of car.

Talking about variation. Check out your last posts Rad, they all had IF in it. I could have won IF I didn't spin, IF I could find reverse, IF I didn't take the sh*ttier car (which the Saleen is NOT by far, it won the champ at SR.nl with no weight balast, beating alot of 550's). And also the saaaaame "joke" in incar chat. So if there is somebody with a lack of variety...
I just tend to stick with the same car in enduro and GT sprint. I swapped twice at the beginning of NGT sprint, but since then I stayed the same. Car swaps are not a good thing in a season IMO, but I used the 2 in NGT to find the car I was looking for. As I don't dislike the Lambo and 550 as much as I did the GTC, I'm sticking with them.

And this is only the first GTR2 series, so don't draw your conclusions. Next season I'm sure people will take other cars. Again, at SR.nl, the same thing happened. First season 3/4 was 550, now there are Saleens, C5R's, Lambo's, 550's, Listers etc.

At Hockenheim I also didn't match my PB, d'UH. You can't always beat a PB in online qually when there are other people around and the situation is different. For me I was racing with my left hand in bandages because of accident that happened yesterday.

And I have to agree, that what you said about Kerr and Jimmie does sound disrespectfull, eventough it wasn't meant like that. A different kind of words would have been wise.

Ngt's were fair when being lapped although it's always a bit touch and go if they're fighting amongst themselves, as you don't want to spoil their fight ( hope I didn't interfere TT and Shark)

Mostly GTs were ok, while there were some situations where they were a bit close. Especialy 'cause they were not involved in a direct duel like me and Shark. Overtaking through the Stadium, for example, between the last two corners was unnecessary - it ALWAYS directly impacted exit speed on the s/f straight. But ok, since both me and Shark had to recompense for that its no big damage done. It's a hard circuit for two classes to race at once, so all in all GTs were ok.

As for the variety discussion, I'd like to add I have a challenge to get to know the car before I change it. I feel I get out of the car much more after several races and I enjoy it more, not less. Also, I take Sprints as fun races but I take Endurance seriously. Last night I finished 3rd NGT, but I feel like a winner 'cause I made an accomplishement I can rarely claim. And I enjoyed it immensly.  Smiley  I feel weight pack added quality - and variety - to the championship although I didn't think so at the beggining. Maybe you could try driving NGT for change, Rad.  Smiley  Taking a Vertislowblow should highten your motivation.  Cheesy

lol Hahaha, damn, you know me, I have no more secrets for you anymore  Tongue. I wanna win races this season, true, like so many others. Weird innit, it's a race, winning would be an abnormal thing to want  Roll Eyes.
I already posted my car choice for season 5, which you can find somewhere on the forum, to show that S5 will be about having fun races.

The only way you can get away from me, is leaving yourself. If not, suck it up and keep those remarks to yourself  Kiss

Well, I finally managed to convert a leading position in Endurance into a win Got a decent lap in for pole, started with brimming tanks and prayed for a bit of luck this time. Leuven slipped up early on, which left Mo chasing me down until he had to leave - an irate pit crew chief called him in for an unscheduled stop (gave him the baby to hold apparently!). I then slowly gained a 10 second lead up to the pitstops. I thought I had plenty of time in reserve, especially considering I needed no fuel at all, but a combination of holding on to worn tyres too long and a bodged diabetic blood test at the stop meant that Leuven was right on my tail after the stop. We then had a number of tense laps sweatdrop trying to stay out of the way of GTs, with the gap yoyoing around. I had a heart in mouth moment when I was faced with a huge black cloud  eek on the way into the stadium complex (Mike Soedito with a big blow up) and almost missed the corner, and another when Radius looked up the inside late into the hairpin and in leaving room I went wide and almost into the tyres. Having survived these I was finally able to stretch away and was up to 10s at the end.

I found the track was not the best for letting the GTs by, as the straights were often not long enough for them to be out of the way by the next corner. I was also a little unimpressed by a couple of GTs in qual who messed up my hotlaps and in the process must have spoiled theirs - what is the point of that? Huh

Congrats to CJ on the GT win. Looking forward to Barcelona now, although the Beemers will be back on the pace I expect (too many tight corners at Hock).

Again your world renown ego comes to the for   Angry

sleep1

Wow, I'm known throughout the world Shocked. Guess I missed a meeting. Did you check outside your team, ask around? No, didn't think so.

Check your own ego, you are the one here saying you would beat us all if you had a better car. Wake up and smell the roses, the Saleen is good.
I quote you:

"i could def had beaten Ruskus to 4th, np!" (Monza endurance). If you didn't spin and lost the starter button (your own words, see the IF again).

"held up by both Kerr and Jimmie's lambos..they just cost me so much time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" So if the guys infront are slower than you (which they might have been in this case due to damage) and they fight for position, they have to let you throug, as Radius can't be held up  Lips Sealed

"even more so Hock Nat as i was faster than Rus's lambo time in a offline Lambo praccy and 550 was even faster." Again, mr Worship showing how good he is. Show it when it matters.

"what im trying to say is if i took the Lambo theres a big chance you wouldnt have seen me all race..so you lapping all on your own then m8". I know, it get's boring, but yet again. Rad saying he would have beaten Kerr if he was in the Lambo. But not just that, he would have driven away from him like it was nothing.

"but if i took a "better" car my race report would be like this as well:  1st stint sleep1 2nd stint  sleep1" Yeah yeah, you would have lapped us all and showed us how to do it  Roll Eyes

"This is your first post in this thread, so thats all your ever care about so go away!" Somebody talks back to Rad, and he immediatly tries to avoid the "problem" instead of facing them. Real mature  no.

Now think to yourself Rad...who's ego is acting up? Indeed....not mine  Tongue

You misunderstood/misquoted what im saying so i wont respond no ok just one lol ....what im trying to say is if i took the Lambo theres a big chance you wouldnt have seen me all race..so you lapping all on your own then m8...but by taking a sh*tier car we had a great battle, me, you and Jimmie..really great!

Quote

I think I understood you exactly, rude and offensive remarks about everything to do with this forum.
As for misquoting how is that? I only copied exactly what you had typed, no edits.

To blame me for holding you up just seems like as Ruskus highlighted another cheap excuse. Over the entire race you did have faster lap than me, by an incredible 0.054sec, big difference. Other than that it was near identical lap for lap and I was quicker in qualifying too. Your pass on me I'm sure will also be looked at by moderators as you did barge a slower car out the way to make the pass when the room was not there.

Once you were ahead you hardly gained any advantage and towards the end of the race I was pulling you in at a good rate. Hardly consistent with your view. Then you have the cheek to accuse someone else of being arrogant.

radius, sportmanship and gentlemanly conduct goes a long way. if you loose you loose accept it and try again. I can't match the quickest guys but it's not going to stop me trying and when I do finish behind them i will applaud them and make my own valid excuses!!!!!

You can say I held you up, unfair. you can claim your car was damaged, as was mine and Jimmie's for that matter.

As you said you picked the saleen so you could have a race with the likes of me and would have wiped the floor if you went with the lambo. The obvious question would then be why not pick the Lambo and have a race with the leaders?

Please show some respect and some manners Radius. No doubt you are a good driver but as originally said most of your comments are uncalled for and it seems you are continuing in the same manner. thought the stream would have blown over by now.

Flipping heck guys.  When someone says they were held up, that doesn't automatically finger the driver infront for driving like a muppet - there is such a thing as defending your position.  I've been "held up" on more than one occasion by my now teammate Don - not through bad driving, but quite the opposite, through good driving.

If you've got issue with a person's driving, report it to the mods rather than airing your dirty laundry here - as it's creating a bad taste in everyone's mouths.

I understand Adam i just feel a bit angry about Radius' attitude throughout here, very critical about everything and most of it unjust.
