I must admit after showing good consistancy at the sprint,  im aiming for a podium finish in the enduro, so i hope to throw a spanner in there somewhere!!  Tongue

Good race for me.

Quallied my best ever (yes I know there were a few regulars missing  Wink ) in 11th. Unfortunately messed up the 2nd & 3rd corners on the first lap, which let Tinman and DG through. Put some consistent laps together, tho a couple more little errors then let the "Blunder" thru. Carried on without threatening anyone in front, or being threatened from behind, finishing in 14th. Well pleased with my improved performance all round. My new wheel is definitely helping, steering is a lot more accurate, which is a help!!!!!

Cheers

Rob

I wanted to try the Gillet for a long time in a race..
And even it's somewhat underpowered and even if I'm a slow driver, I enjoyed the race very much.
I made 2 or 3 stupid mistakes, just because my GF was talking  Roll Eyes

I need to put my race gear in a closed room.  Grin

Thanks for everybody that flashed their lights to say thank you  (I hope  Grin laugh) when I let them pass  Cheesy

I look forward to have more training and taking a competetive car  Smiley
Very good field, and it's the first time I see a race with more than 15 drivers with not a single DNF

Great race guys  Cool

You were scarily fast through the corners, as is the Gillet's want, and on more than one occaision on qualifying I felt like I was holding you up after you let me by.

Good show and welcome to the league. Grin

Thanks.

I really did enjoy my evening.
Even at the last place.. and that's the proof that this place is a GOOD place.

Thanks to you.

Now I need to phone Tony Gillet, owner of the Vertigo (I actually known his girl Sophie) to put some more power in it  Cheesy

Did you guys hear those raw sound the Alfa motor makes when you put a gear down ?? omg what a music  Cheesy

Back home at last! Been on a very boring course at work!
Anyway, excellent fun race last night.
I hate the circuit and was not keen to practice and was supprised to be there about's ( for me! )
back in 16th ? I'm guessing!
Took it easy at the start to try and conserve the tyres!? I had mediums on but some practice made me worry they would last!
After a little rubbin !! with Dave , I settled down and lapped quite consistently, caught Rob and set off after Tinman and Dave.
They looked like they were having fun and I was very slowly catching them for about 15 laps, unfortunately the slightest
of slides round one corner let the gap increase agian and I didn't have another 10 laps to catch up again!?
Great fun trying to catch them little by little.
Amazing the concentration required on a short tight track!

Hopefully I stuck to the corner cutting rules!

Finished 13th ! True to form!

Hard night for me,got better time in practise than in quallifying  Huh and got 2nd.
First few laps in race Perdy was right up behind me and the pressure was REALLY on me.Was able to fend him away for a while till he made a mistake and I was  able to pull away.
With 8 minutes left I lost it and went to cut the grass then Perdy got past.... :'( thought that was it... then I saw Perdy lock it up and and go to put the grass abit aswell  Huh  Shocked
After following him for a few laps I saw a SMALL opening at the tight left hander and went for it...... Shocked ,after watching it on the replay about 20 times I still dont know how I got through...  Lips Sealed ,good job by Perdy not to go into me..  Cool
Shame I cant contend for the championship  :'( ,if the bloody porka would of lasted 1 more lap at China I would of had +49 points more  Angry  :'(
p.s. Flawless race by Paul, couldnt get anywhere near you, well done m8  Cool  Smiley

Great Race!

I was really disappointed not to get into the 1:26s I was hoping for this race to get a jump on the better performers in the race by getting a good quali time and doing my best to hold them up during the race, but alas it didn't happen. Over a second off of my on-line PB. Gutted.  Angry

Great race though! Had an opportunity to pass Darren early on at the double right hander but I broke to early and we both ended up tiptoeing around the corner so as not to hit each other. From that point on he steadily pulled away.

Munkez however, I was able to hold up  Tongue he was with me for the whole race (great race bud!), but I never made a major mistake, something I haven't been able to achieve since my first race in Valencia, but for some reason I wasn't able to get comfortable and settle down for the whole race and my lap times overall were slower than what I have been doing in praccy.

Colin and Darren dropped back a couple of times during their epic battle but I was never able to take advantage as they would quickly open up a gap.

I am really pleased with how I raced and am looking forward to the enduro

Great race all!

RM
