Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 500s

Chunky is hit from behind by Darren whilst braking for the Sachskurve.

This was only the third flying lap of an 80 minute race, and Darren appears to have completely missed his braking point and broke barely before the 50m board (and not 150-160m out as his report claims).

I'm satisfied that this was a simple error and not a very badly judged passing attempt gone wrong but Darren's response to the incident report suggests that he simply never looked at the replay, something which is crucial when learning from our mistakes.

Server replay time: 810s

Chunky taps the rear of Dave Gymer going into the Einfahrt Parabolika, spinning him round whilst Picnic and Don also go by. Chunky then slows down and allows all three back past him, and for this gentlemanly conduct the penalty is reduced.

  • Chunkypenalty — rear ending Dave Gymer — 0 places lost

Server replay time: 925s

Dave Gymer is following Don and Munkez into the Kurzanbindung. Munkez is a lap down and fairly unpredictable, so Dave is keeping a repsectable distance and watching to see how Don will deal with him. Chunky, behind Dave, doesn't account for the situation ahead of Dave and brakes as normal, piling into the back of Dave who is going slower than normal in the middle of the track, spinning him into the gravel.

Chunky then waits for Dave to rejoin.

Well, last race is certainly going to be interesting....  Shocked
Quallied 1st just off my PB and was able to pull away at the start and settle down into a good pace.
Didnt really have any big  Shocked moments and was quite relaxed,I just wanted to know where Gizmo was....only  Shocked moment I had was whwn I pitted and saw my pit crew out and Chunky in my space  Shocked ,so I thought I had to cue up behind and when I pulled up behind him to stop I noticed my pit crew was in front  Roll Eyes ,blonde moment...
Just 3 points between me and Gizmo,Barcelona here we come!

Dave - If you wanted to win the championship we should have run in the rain.  Luke isn't so fast in the rain.   Wink

Well done Luke, you are simply too fast in the dry.

P.S. I thought you said you wasn't lucky  Tongue

Well unless I can persuade Luke not to turn up to the final round I think that's my championship gone.
With just 3 points in it, if Luke wins the final round he'll take it on the countback even if I finish second. The team championship could still be ours though...
But if we tie on points who gets it then??

The game said i was third at the end but the provisional result above says I was forth. I was definitely 3rd and did cross the line to finish. I'm sure replay will confirm so

I'm guessing you were nearly a lap behind the leader? If you aren't the leader you must keep racing until you personally cross the line with the chequered flag showing.

We've had the finishing position debate before, and unless what the game has written in the export is actually incorrect, you are classified according to our rules, which differ from the game's (because it doesn't write full data in the exports).

Have I made a backside of it? The timer had disappeared long before I crossed the line and it never started to time the lap after i crossed the line. When I pressed escape there were other people finished before I was as soon as I looked to monitor evertone was doing donoughts etc. I'm confused Huh

Was another lonely race in the GT2, but still quite enjoyabe.

My fuel was all over the place. I used 60L in the first 35 minutes (1.71L/min), so I put 80L in when I pitted in, which should have been plenty.
With 15 minutes to go I noticed I wasn't gonna make it, so I shortshifted, but only saved around 0.1-0.2 per lap Undecided.

When Paul968 blew up his engine, I had 1:17 infront of the next driver, so I had time for a quick splash. I used almost 90L for the last 45 minutes (2L/min) Shocked.

Strange we both had problems. My strategy was fine last time(masters endurance) but this time miles out this time. Even short shifting I was burning more fuel that the onboard computer suggested for one lap and I have never had that before. Last time I had enough fuel for a few more laps this time about 6 laps short

First of all, well done to all peeps - was the most courteous race I have had yet.
Second - 2085 seconds - It's a Schumi+Hakk moment at Spa...without the lead at stake over it.. :p N1 Fred and Chunky  Grin

Qually v close - 0.008 seconds!!! Was really happy with the front row as GTR had CTD'd twice in Q2, and after the second one I restarted my PC, and rejoined with about 7 or 8 mins left and no qualy setup made...just made one quick and did 4 laps as quick as I could. Kinda glad though, Kerr's pacelap was MUCH better than my one was!
Good battle with Kerr for the first half. We were very closely matched and and it didn't seem to matter if I pushed or not, I couldn't get past. So started to short shift to save the engine and tyres for later. Managed to slip inside after he got baulked by Chunky and then slowly slid round after a tiny tap from Kerr. No biggie.
What was worse than the actual tap was the time I lost in the friggin pits. I'd set 92l as the amount for the stop and lowered that to 70, and had to select "do not repair", cost me a few secs and Kerr got back in the lead :p I was surprised at how early you stopped, I had over 20l left when you pitted.
Was in a fighting mood after the stops but Kerr's spin put an end to it. Was a shame, was looking forward to a dice! On another note, Edam wasn't far behind. I remember looking behind me on the straight each lap at the beginning and seeing you right near us and going "blimey, we're gonna have to get a move on".

Main apologies should go to Reign man and Chunky, I think I made a couple of dodgey passes on you guys - sorry if I held you up.

See you in the Sprint Wink

Yep, you've made what the French call "un cockup". Tongue FreQ was just 7 seconds behind and about to lap you again when you crossed the line (at 4972.684s). Time had expired but because the leader had not crossed the line the race was still running. The chequered flag didn't come out until 7 seconds after you crossed the line, when FreQ took the win (at 7979.238s).

Joined with G3 Porschecup. Thought I could keep up with the slowest NGTs but was losing 0,3 sec per lap so after 20 minutes the gap was too big and I quit.  Smiley

I'm pleased to say that unlike in GTR1 now PorscheCup is quite nice to drive, very stable and forgiving, easy to drive. In fact I had an impression that the engine just couldn't keep up with the tyres. Might be worth a Fun race at Mugello, PorscheCup exclusively (hint, hint...  Grin  ) after S4 finishes.  Smiley

I was laughing my ass off  laugh
I saw you coming when I was closing on Chunky ... and then I was praying "Chuncky stay on your line, stay on your line".. and the he goes right when I was going left to let you pass then I though where the fuck FreQ is going to pass and all of a sudden you were gone  Grin

Very courteous indeed, exactly what I was searching for in a league.
Now I need to find some speed and consistency.

Speed is gonna be difficult for me.
Consistency I'm gonna found when I put my racing gear in another place than the TV place.. so my girlfriend won't talk to me anymore when racing.. lost the lead pack because of chatting  Roll Eyes

Very good race from what I've seen, gratz to all.
Hope I didn't disturb you David when you were fighting for position with another nGT and I passed on the straight.

Just my luck, this turned out to be a dry race!

I'm gutted I wasn't there, I could have contested Darren and Reign Man for a podium position.

Time to get practising for the GT event tomorrow night then hope to get a full lot of Barca events entered.

oops Embarrassed.  I just assumed that with no timer and and no lap timer that was it. I guess that's another lesson learned!

I was hoping for a wet race and had practiced to take the GT3 Cup car, but when I got on the server it was dry and no other G3s. I asked if I could swap to match the 2 G2s and then returned in the GT2 (I was rather surprised that TT then swapped out to G3!). Qual left me in the middle of the GTs, and the first few laps I was trying to hang on to cej and Ruskus, but with a full fuel load I dropped back into a tussle with Fred Joseph. When he made a slip I was left to lap on my own for a long period in 6th place. Lapping the NGTs was interesting because of the short straights and the rather 'unique' handling in the GT2. I made a complete horlicks of passing Pete after he let me by into the complex - conscious of my guest status I went too deep at each of the next few corners trying to stay out of his way. Sorry m8. The pitstop was fairly routine, as was the rest of the race until around 10 minutes to go. The sky behind suddenly turned orange as the Porsche's engine toasted itself, and that was it  Sad Shame really, as I wrestling the GT2 around Hock for 80 minutes would have been a real achievement, added to which Ruskus needed to pit again and I would have inherited the G2 lead. Oh well.

Congrats to Freq and Luke, and thx to all the other drivers when lapping - everyone was extremely well mannered  thumbup1
