Championship standings HERE TRACK #2 Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Cadwell Park Cars allowed: Ford Escort 1300 GT PM WT for track/car download pack which is required for this event. Practice: ~19:20 GMT (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 GMT (20 mins) Race: 20:40 GMT (30 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Not Required Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

Just did a few laps and uploaded my setup. Best lap time in setup description.
Car is fast, but still a bit too loose, so that has to be corrected. Probably something to do with wheel rates, diff and maybe caster. Oh and I forgot to check tyre temps, so the tyre pressures may not be optimal too.

I was able to make 33.4 using H's setup but with changes. I've upload it if someone wants to take a look.

Cadwell Park is a favorite of mine, but the race was about as dull as they get. Once more I sat in the no mans land between the aliens and the rest of the field. A glimmer of hope when I passed a recovering Geoffers. Pit board showed a gap of 11 secs, so at least we should have a chase over a few laps before he caught up, and perhaps we could even have a semblance of a battle for the position. All snuffed out regrettably, when he left right after, plunging my race into an even deeper state of loneliness. His tentacled compatriots were 10 further seconds up the road than he had been, and probably even less likely to make mistakes (and they could afford a few, given the gap...) Highlight was unquestionably outstarting Mr. Superstart himself; Dan This I only realized after the race, when looking at the replay. I did get a good start, but in fairness, it looks like Dan mucked up his completely. Grats to Hristo & pod; commiserations to the unfortunate ones. Once again thanks for provided setups, to Hristo, DD & Clive? Tried all, but more comfortable and not faster than with my own, so stuck with that. Hristo's qual time seems scarcely believable; is there a shortcut I'm missing?

Like Erling, I had a bit of a dull race too as far as it went. Managed to stay with the fast trio at the front for about 3 laps before they upped the pace & disappeared into the distance. Kept going as fast as I could in case one of them made a mistake but it was me who messed up first. Just got a couple of wheels onto the grass going onto Park Straight & the car turned across the track onto the grass the other side, got it straightened up but in missing the marshal's post I hit a bank that I did not realise was there & wrecked the suspension. I completed that lap but the car was all over the place in the corners, so pulled over & went for a beer. Congrats to Hristo, DD & Daz. I too tried Hristo's setup but was slower with it than my own, only doing mid 1.35s with it. So hats off to Hristo being nearly 3s faster with it, beyond my talents. I find Hristo's setups work well in fast corners, minimising understeer but I cannot get them to turn into tighter corners like my own.

Sorry to read that you guy's had disappointing races. I had a good one for a change chasing Matt for nearly 14 laps but never able to get a pass done. Eventually ran out of talent when I put wheels on the grass and had to slow down to avoid a third cut warning.

Hi guys
Couldn't make this race either. I have always liked this track. Raced it in GPL, but must say the GTL track is much more fun. The elevation changes etc are superb.
But my problem has been Tony kindly sent me the game data stuff I needed, was promptly downloaded and installed. Had a couple of very enjoyable sessions getting in some practice for the race but PC has started playing up big time. It's been as solid as s rock since I built it about 10 years ago. Was pretty cutting edge back then but like me it's fast approaching its sell by date. Lol. I've been putting some nice bits to one side for a while now so I guess it's time to build a new PC.
Plan being to build a dual boot machine so I can play new stuff on win 10 and all my favourites on Win 7. Might even stuff a 3rd disc in it for some XP games. Got enough stuff to build a couple of cracking machines. Also got 2 sim racing frames so I guess nows to time to get cracking. Hopefully be back up n running soon, gonna miss my GPL,GTL and P&G fix big time.

Not quite getting the track time I need to stay with the two resident Bulgarians at the mo , trying to get a house move done before xmas and it is consuming vast amounts of time.... I like Cadwell, and always love an Escort, so was looking forward to this one. Couldn't quite get the setup exactly as I wanted it, no matter what or whos I tried, but eventually found enough speed to do the low 33 in quali, Hristos lap was beyond my grasp though . Knowing this I believed I wouldn't be able to stay with him, and even if I did get in front would have a hard time holding both Hristo and Dimitar off as I believed they were both more consistently quick than I was here. Got a good jump, and took the lead, but frankly I was under pressure constantly for the next 15 laps because I was just not quick enough. I did swap places with Hristo a couple of times before finally having to give it up, and I also let Dimitar through to go off and chase his mate as I could not. By that point I was on 2 cut warnings and so just could not afford to push anymore, and the front tyres just were not giving me the bite into the corner either, causing me some issues mid race whilst the car was still heavy on fuel. The balance came back a little towards the end, and I managed to close in on DD, but an unfortunate backmarker scenario sent me flying off track as I pushed to close for his second place and that was the end of that . First half was great fun . Really clean racing, with Hristo very obviously quicker, but unable to quite find a route through. Without the 2 cuts I would have continued to try to hold the pair of them off, and I think failed to be honest , but it was that threat of an s&g that forced me to be conservative and let them both go. Grats to Hristo, fantastic pace and consistency, a properly deserved win . I'm pretty sure that should wrap up this championship for you also. Grats also to DD for his usual metronomic consistency that made catching him very difficult.

Erling, Geoffers, the setup I uploaded the day before the race ended up with several important modifications before and during qualifying, which was the only way I did those 32s, quite unexpectedly I might add (and on low fuel of course). Making the gears 1 click longer and also playing around with the damper settings made the biggest difference. Somehow it just clicked and the car was suddenly very balanced and yet fast. I would say you can watch my pole lap at 31:50 on my Twitch recording, but for some reason the video freezes a few times during the lap, so not much can be seen of the lap itself. Perhaps you can still see how it handles before that and also during the race (race start at 37:something), as well as the changes I made to the setup: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1195090393I thought I made a good start, but Daz still took the lead and from there on we had a very good chase for the first 1/3rd of the race. I just couldn't find a way to attack safely, no matter how close I got, and it was only due to a small mistake of his that I managed to get in front, just to lose it 2 corners later. Eventually he made another small mistake and I went to the inside before the chicanes near the end. We had a bit of a moment there, with DD's involvement too, but I ended up in front and from there on had a lonely race myself, mostly challenged by the ever decreasing grip from the tyres (front left in particular). Grats to DD and Daz, and commiserations to Geoffers - I was hoping it would be a 4-way fight between us. I think I just got fairly lucky with the setup, otherwise DD was the favourite before qualifying and it was going to be difficult if I hadn't sorted out the balance.
