Wing settings and getting good runs out of the important corners can mask reality in terms of straight line speed. I dunno about everyone else but I was running 1-4 wing last night which meant I was pretty awesome in a straight line (or slightly bending line as it is at Combe Wink).

That explains a lot, I was scratching my head at your straightline speed at the start of the race. Cheesy

Being a slow Wink non-english speaker I must confess that I don't really know the true meaning...and I even don't resent being the butt of a joke.  Tongue

The best solution to the corner cutting problem would be to not use the chicanes. They were only put in as a safety measure and that is not really a concern in sim racing. It’s not as if they really add to the driving pleasure. yes
No, no, Jose, you got it all wrong. The best solution to the corner cutting problem would be to not use the track anymore. YAY for me! clap

So we're not just moaning about the z4's this time then Wink

Another good race for me, though the early stop-go kinda felt like a kick in the teeth. Though after that i didnt pick another one up and just tried to get the hammer down as much as i could. After pitting i seemed to end up in 5th after everyone seemed to pit but quite far away from Roadrunner and i couldnt close the gap down. Thankfully he picked up a stop-go and suddenly I ended up 15 secs from Prof with about 15mins to go and I tried hard to close the gap, picking up a few tenths here and there managing to getit down to 10 secs by the flag.

I dont think there is anything wrong with this track and would be ideal for GTC/GT3 sprints. Its simple, you know the rules on corner cutting, the rules dont bend, the track doesnt decide to give it to people randomly! All track extents are marked by lines running around the edges of the track, dont expect the kurbs to be part of the track!

First JPS I'm sorry for running into the back of you and running you into the grass. VERY VERY SORRY.  I hope it didn't ruin your race. It did ruin mine. Was getting cut track stop go penalty like crazy. Worst than in practice or quail. Some of them I don't know what for. Served them anyway. Then I got DQ for not serving a stop go I didn't know I had. Shame because I had a car that handled good for a change and felt good about a good finish. Well I guess that's racing. Again JPS very sorry and for any other problems I might have caused anyone.

Missed your post Smokey, no worries, it was a weird race with all the stop goes etc, managed to get back up the field from the back so not too much damage done Smiley  plus the car didn't receive too much damage Smiley
