Firstly apologies to Leo for my tap on lap 2 at T3. There was no actual contact on my client replay (just warp contact) but it was my fault I shouldn't have been so close. I waited for you to recover but it put us both last after picking up several places on lap 1. Sorry if I ruined your race.

After that it was a steady drive. I had a lot of wing and top was geared quite low so in a tow I was bouncing off the limiter. In hindsight I should have geared it a bit higher. I tried to stay with Fulvio but he was too quick and I lost out in my battle with Dave C. That Matra was too quick for me tonight  scooter

Yuck. The Lotus 63 is a bath-tub and it kept sloshing about onto the grass.

Back later for a more comprehensive post but to reply to Philippe...

Sorry for the contact, PG, but you took me completely by surprise by slowing to a snail's pace over the crest of T4.  Why on Earth you would do that in a winged Ferrari against my totally obsolete Eagle is a mystery to me.  I thought that you would go roaring by with speed to spare.  Final analysis?  You bungled the pass, mon ami.

Grats to our podium finishers even if Bot had me off in T4 on Lap09.  Looks more like a lag issue than anything else as I gave him loads of room and it looked like a solid 50cm+ between us at point of contact.

As for Philippe's issue, I stand by my words.  Perhaps you had damage from shunting off at the Moss Hairpin a lap earlier?  That might explain why you slowed so dramatically for T4.  Want to see a similar issue, PG?  Go here...

https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=27102.0

Quite satisfying to start the Pease Eagle.  I managed to make the 110% cutoff time based on my pre-race testing having cut a 1m25.27s lap.  That's just inside the exclusion parameter.  Surviving those two incidents to get the Eagle home in P11...will be P10 once the DQ's are factored in for more than two resets; Zui with t two blown Cossies...is quite a plumb.  Smiley

Don't give up... keep at it. I'm no expert at any of this but I learn something new in every UKGPL race, whatever the mod.

No problem Phil, I appreciate your sportsmanship. What is starting to be annoying is the behavior of some of the residente aliens. Crashes in the first turns every race, pushing others off track even at practices, and no recognition at all.

Two hours before the race I was seriously thinking about not taking part, I couldn't get the hang of the Brabham BT26, I had never been to any circuit with it. I took an old Allison Hine setup, with very hard coils (so as not to touch the bottom of the car at Moss), changed the bars to my liking, changed the bump and rebound, lowered the car to the minimum and took out the bump-rubbers. And all of a sudden the car appeared. I could have been 2nd if I hadn't made two unforced errors that relegated me to 4th place. But I was very happy with my race. Congratulations to the podium, especially to Tristan for his phenomenal race, and many thanks to the organizers for organizing these races.

Please stop this unkind discussion.

This series should be a fun series, without stress - for the joy of driving these virtual race cars.
My expectation was that everyone would look after themselves and show proper respect to the other drivers.

I don't owe anyone anything here and I do it for enjoyment. Everyone knows it's boring to ride alone or with AIs.

The rules are minimized, and if broken you get a DQ.

I was absolutely not in slow motion as doni claims. I slowed down normally, like everyone else in this place. I watched the replay, and I maintain that doni intentionally hit me.
I'm not used to creating controversies, but when I'm right, I say so.
as I mentioned above, I am withdrawing from mod 69, because I like to participate in the races in a good spirit.
