Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 319s

Aagramn gets a run on Jure approaching Repsol. He decides to back out of the pass a bit too late and just leaves his nose in. Jure takes the normal racing line, and the resulting contact puts him into a spin.

Aagramn should have either gone for the pass or backed out earlier.

  • Aagramnpenalty — Side by side contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 360s

Baracus puts a wheel on the grass before T3, and veers sharply to the left. No25 has to brake to avoid contact. Paul Richards is close behind, and mis-reads the situation, leading to contact with No25.

Paul apologised for the contact, and felt he could have done more to avoid it. After looking at it closely I've reduced the penalty to a warning, as from the angle of Baracus' car it looked like he was about to run off the track. However, drivers are reminded that they are expected to exercise caution when approaching an incident. The movements of the cars involved can be unpredictable as the drivers fight to regain control.

  • Paul Richardswarning — Lack of care when approaching an incident.

I caught onto a snake of cars and we pretty much stayed like that until FreQ hit the ghost of someone (didnt have time to see) which sent him off at the end of the straight. It was only thru seeing his dust cloud that I noticed the ghost and managed to avoid it so I felt compelled to let him bu after he caught up.
Wow, very gracious of you Shocked

Thanks guys! MC12 did feel very stable here, tyres were going towards the end - I was losing 0,5 seconds per lap in the last 5 minutes.
Anyway - I didn't overtake anybody, so I can't take much credit here. Paul968 ran wide, Leuven also, Jon had a freeze.  Angry  Fastest lap is entirely due to Ruskus  yawn and sleep1 'cause he had nothing to do.  Grin  Sorry buddy, I had enough to do with myself.  Cheesy
Made a gap of 5 seconds to the 3rd and was keeping it until the last few laps when the tyres started to fall apart. Two more laps and I couldn't have held the 2nd positon - luck was on my side.
Feels good anyway and especialy 'cause of the great performance of entire (attending) Legends Racing team.  clap  Good job MJ and Adam!  Cool

yup, what a race!   a real thumbs up for sim racing in my opinion!  count me in (if theres space/if i am alowed) for the next season!!

i spent the first 2 sessions thinkin we were on the 04 track and couldnt fathom why i was over 2 secs of my normal pace, plus my tyres were burning up!  so spent all of qually tryin to quick fix my setup for the race! managed to get a qually lap in which put me in 8th which i was chuffed with considering my problems!

race start and i was just holding onto zacari who was in 7th, i was thinkin this was going to be a long race but even after a few laps the field was still tight top 8 and so some hope crept back in again!

freq and paul?  red 550 made small offs which put me into 6th and for a few laps were on my tail looking for ways past but i think a few more small offs dropped them back a bit nearer midway point in the race!

lueven had his off and with jon's disco i was in 4th still chasing zacari!  i started to now put the pressure on but he was holding his ground well and i even got along side a couple of times one for at least 3 corners but still managed to keep infront of me!!
with around 12-15 mins left zacari got to much wheelspin and i managed to sneek past and gave chase to the magnificint TT in his mazza!  he was 5 secs infront and with 10 mins to go was catching around 0.8 - 1.0 per lap!
i thought i had one more lap left where i would have been right on his bumper but the race finished with me under one sec behind!

all in all a great race and even tho i joined this season late have enjoyed it ivery much!

My setup wasn't very good and I was struggling for traction. Started with a bit too much fuel, hard rears and medium fronts. Early race was okay, managed a fairly consistent pace and managed to get in amongst my fellow tail end Charlies as we took turns making small mistakes and occaisionally running wide.

Couldn't quite keep Adam back but managed to hold Simon off for many laps, but as the tyre wear passed 10 the car was decidedly unstable over the bump braking zone for the third to last corner and I spun to the inside allowing him and Jure (and probably more) past. Didn't really enjoy it after that, the car's balance was gone and despite a spin from Jure on the penultimate lap I never looked like being able to close the gap.

In fact I only just avoided being lapped! Roll Eyes Cheesy

Good mix of cars on the grid, think we had at least one of everything except the 575.  Smiley

Solid race for me. Qualified fairly well in 14th, and finished 10th. Was pleased to stick close to Mark in the early part of the race, but was never able to put him under any real pressure, and after a few laps he started to pull away steadily. Was pretty quiet for me after that, brought the car home without any drama.

I need to check the replay over an early incident which may have been my fault.

After the end of the race there seemed to be an end-of-season party going on at the end of the straight, which I gatecrashed at about 120 MPH.  Cheesy

Bad luck on the disco again Jon.  Sad Good win Ruskus, and special mention for TT for his effort in the MC12.

Cracking finish to the season, with no let up in the action for the full 40 minutes. Messed up my setup at the last minute, adding extra rear wing to save the rear tyres but in the process making the car understeer far too much in the fast corners. Then gave up 2 places at the start because I lost track of Freq and thought he must be alongside (infact he was too far back to see!), so stayed wide in t1 and t3 - plonker! The rest of the race was a full on fight for 4/5/6/7, but my understeer meant that I never got a good run onto the straights and couldn't make a passing attempt against the lambos. Can't complain tho, as I'm extra rusty in GTs after a good NGT run, so 6th is a nice result. Excellent dicing with Freq, Enzo & Zacari, and real respect for TT making the maser go so fast  I Am Not Worthy Congrats to Ruskus in the Vette (more respect) and hard luck to Jon who seems cursed with bad luck atm. Just one question - did the kerbies hold off the team shark junior menace?

A brilliant and very hard race, other than the first I didn't have one quiet lap!

I got in a good PB in quali, 7th in the end with some great pace from everyone.  The start of the race was really tight, and after Jon's disco Sad and Leuven's slide wide, I was up to a rather undeserved 3rd Grin with a 2-3 second gap to TT (I think) and a 1sec gap back to Enzo.
I couldn't gain anything on the leaders, and Enzo zoomed up to my rear bumper, where for about 10-12 laps I had one hell of a time trying to keep him there!  I kept hoping Paul might keep him occupied enough to let me get away, but that never happened Cheesy I was really struggling with the car pushing as the race went on,and Enzo's intense pressure paid off as I ran wide out of turn 4.  Almost immediately I had FreQ on my tail, but I managed to slide and block the remaining 6-8 laps to hold 4th until the flag Cool Fantastic battling with you both!

Excellent racing, being able to race so close was great Smiley grats to Jeff for the win & the title, and TT for being damn fast in the MC12!

Thanks again, guys. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the car. One thing bothers me: how was MC12 competitive here while not at all in Hockenheim? I hope in the next fun races we can clear up what MC12 can do. Mostly I'm afraid of rainy races - I never managed to finish a wet race, even off-line.  Sad

how was MC12 competitive here while not at all in Hockenheim?

What worries me is how much faster not just the 550 was down the main straight but also the Viper, which was walking away from me even with me in the tow and with rear wing down at 6! Shocked

Is there a server replay?

Checked my replay last night, didn't realize there was contact between us when I got past you Dave - albeit very light.  Just locked the front left momentarily and drifted right.

I will open another post on the pro's and con's of setup!

BTW, I was lapped!! by everyone up to 10th!!
