Race was fun for. First one with H-pattern shifting and heel and toeing, and it showed Grin. I had 3 offs the whole race and finished in 7th Cheesy.

But most were due to "Dave Gymer and the curse of his grey pearl" Tongue

Wow, what a race!
Equalled my PB in Qualie for 6th!
Had a good scrap with Hammer? after a few people dropped out for 3rd.
Steady race and then all of a sudden , I'm 2nd, that scared the s*** out of me!
Steady racing with a few people close behind.
Finally I was in the clear with a reasonable gap only 10 to go! Then
Of course the tyres start going off, a couple of minor unforced offs and Simon was right behind me!
Hope I was driving ok when you caught me Simon?  Huh
I was very nervous for a while but held it together for 2nd!
Best result by a mile!
Go Team Oldie!!

Sorry to see those 2 technical problems.

Was a funny old race, ding donging with Priberio's 'no-warp' car Smiley and a few others too. Had a mare on the last lap when for the second race in a row my power went off on my monitor. I knew what was happening this time so was very quick to get off my arse and get the cable pushed back in. When I got it back on I was just ahead of Priberio again who was lapping Gizmo, thankfully last lap and I just hung on for third when Priberio spun it over the crest.

See you next week for some more fun.

Hey Ruskus, Don't know how you held on to that thing round the corners!?
I was behind you in Qualie and you were sideways through every corner!
Great to watch!!

I only really got to 'race' people who'd gone off from ahead - my only line of defence was to go into drifting mode and take up the entire width of the track in all the corners - tyres were shot by 2/3rds distance but that's normal in the TVR. laugh Slid off once or twice - once whilst going slowly trying to let Ruskus past. Embarrassed Cheesy

I do like that track but the TVR was just a bit too wild for it. Shocked taz surrender yes

Haha, I love this class, best one in GTL for me. More power than grip, can't be better Grin. I have some drift videos, but they are quite old, but I can upload if you want.

Don't forget, another add-on track next week, this time moving onto the TC65 Cup at Tsukuba.

I'm quite happy with my first ever race online in GTL. Don't think I hindered you guys much, and I managed to stay on the road most of the time, no major spins. So next time I can probably push a bit harder, not much though.

Had a decent start and beginning of race.
Lost contact with the lead group pretty quickly, but settled in third position (I think?) trying to keep two Elans at bay.
Sorry for slowing you down guys ;-)

Had some nice pressure for a good while from a yellow Elan.

But then he spun

and I started thinking I'd have a lonely race for a while, probably being more then a second off the frontrunner pace and having gotten a decent lead when the two guys behind me spun.
This put me offguard and I lost concentration not more then a few measly turns later :-(

Putting a tire outside at a bad spot

Which lead to me putting a signpost through the front of my bumper.

Bwaaaah. :'(

Oh well, car was still okay to drive and I had a few good close races with several people.
The little cobra was fun to drive, and quite competetive indeed at this track. I felt a little sorry for holding up the Elans, them having zero opportunity to get past thanks to my little V8. But that's racing.

Thanks all, I had a great time, and will surely be back for more, if I may.

Yep, that's why I force people to host the images elsewhere, so it doesn't become a problem to us.

I really enjoyed my first race Smiley Though I was at back, being lapped repeatedly. Its been a long time since my last league race, and I'd forgotten how nice it is.

Think there's something wrong with my rev-limiter. at the end of the formation lap you guys were just getting away from me. I know you had your limiters on cos your lights flashed. But I had to turn mine off to catch up. Hope I haven't broken any rules here?

I have to apologise for stealing somebody's Lots skin. Its just that my interpretation of the rules was that you HAD to use the skinpack, if one existed for your choice of car. I didn'r realise the skinpack were for team-members only. sorry

Had to retire midway, think I'd got some serious damage cos I was starting to weave all over the track, and was afraid of taking the race-leaders out as they came to lap me (again Smiley ).

all in all a real nice time Smiley

I wont be here next week cos go on holiday from wedsday. Hope to see you guys again week after next

Apologies for being "absent on parade".  Had to travel from Burnham on Sea to Aylesbury for a meeting, which of course overran.  As a result had to drive home during the rush hour.  By the time I'd had meal, I'm afraid I just couldn't psyche myself up to get behind a wheel again.  It’s my age you know.
