Round 6 of the Lamboghini Huracan Super Tropheo!

Our Eastward trek around the globe now continues to the US, with Round 6 being held at JohnRs' fabulous and massively improved Road Atlanta.
If you are someone with with far too many 3rd party apps and suffer any issues with this circuit, then please be sure to read the instructions over at the download page - it seems some apps interfere with the track and cause crashes, I ran s-tracker, Helicorsa and a fuel app without issue here during testing so it is presumably some of the odder stuff that causes issue.

There are no mandatory pitstops so your strategy is entirely up to you.
Tire warmers will be enabled so that we don't have to go through the pain of a warm-up lap and rolling start.

Hello Guys,

Is there any open server to get training ?
I am used to race in GPL since a long time, in different leagues (UKGPL sometimes too)

Btw, I am still getting trouble with my G27 wheel setting. It seems like the ° angle I set in Logitech profiler is just ignored by AC.
Only ran few runs in Brands Hatch in Ferr 458 GT2 for now Wink

Thanks

Just search for "sro" in the AC lobby and you'll find the server.

Hi Tom, welcome to AC.
Firstly, AC will set the steering angle to suit the car you are driving - you will find that some cars (F1's and similar) have a very low steering ratio, road cars and old touring/GT's will have a steering ratio similar to a conventional road car.
All this is coded into the data files for each car, including mods.
Essentially you don't really want to stop AC from adjusting the settings, if for some reason you still do then I believe there is a checkbox in the logitech software called something like 'override application settings'. With that enabled the wheel should stay at whatever you set it to.

As for finding the server, if you type .org.uk into the search menu then you can't fail to find us - unless the server has thrown a wobbly and crashed of course.

Once you've figured your way around the game interface and controls I'd recommend getting the following apps:

Protyres: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/protyres.14030/
This will give far more info than the stock tire app and help you set the car up better.

P-tracker: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ptracker.3509/
It's not supported anymore but most servers still run it to track lap times (once a few people have driven the track you'll be looking at the server version if you click the laptimes button in post 1)

Helicorsa: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/helicorsa.5199/
Even if you don't get anything else - get this, it's an absolute lifesaver for judging the position of cars around you. Put it this way - it's so good they implemented it as a stock app in ACC Wink

A fuel app of some sort can also be handy, coming from GPL you'll be used to calculating fuel the hard way - but having something actually tell you your average fuel burn per lap is simple luxury...

Salut FullMetal

Thanks for these informations.
Finally I spent time yesterday night and understood how to setup the wheel. That is much better.

I will have a look to your server Wink and maybe try to improve my skills there lol
The way to use the pedals during braking phases is very different than on gpl.

See y !

Welcome to AC side Phillipe, Tom  Smiley

My idea of a decent lap time is 1:22 but I expect that to be at least a couple of seconds off the faster types.

click on the live timing link in the first post - I believe there is then a button in the webpage that opens called live-map.
This won't always have a map, but even when it doesn't there is a list of drivers on the server

Do we have to set the driving help manually or the server do it for us ? Am talking about the ABS and TC
Which level of help is allowed please ?

Thx

Could you also tell me what is the right pressure for each type of compound please ?

I am training in Hard because the Medium one heats up too much (and too fast)

Thanks !!
