a crap race for me. Started well. No delays on the plane home. Went to pick up car from security parking firm only to find both the front suspension coils had snapped mysteriously during the time i was away, and had to get towed home.
Anyway - suspension repaired, but then developed a cold. Sunday before the race i fell down the stairs and damaged right hand - swollen like a balloon, Not broken though fortunately, but bad enough to spoil race chances.
Tuesday before the race cold turned to Flu. Race seems impossible as unable to see properly through a strange haze, unable to breath properly due to stuffed nose, unable to concentrate properly due constant coughing.... you know the scene.
Anyway - looking for better luck for next race.

ooh "79 F1"  - which sim you use for that? Rfactor, You buy it online. Then download the excellent F1 1979 mod from rFactor central website for free. It is a superb mod with fantastic sounds and physics. oh  Just downloaded the trial - got as far as installing it, then tried looking for the music volume control in OPTIONS. As I cant bare games with no way of disabling the 'pretty music', this game is a non-starter for me. |

Go in the music directory and delete everything! Or do what I do and put your own collection of MP3s in there... |

ok i disabled sound PLR file. But now I cant stand the menu sounds. Is it supposed to be serious race game this?  The sounds just seem to come straight out of a child's exploratory set. I was half expecting to hear the voice of mickey mouse doing the tutorials, or the pit radio, or something. Oh well. Lets drop this one. |

I loved the formula renault mod for GTR1, but i dont think that ever took off for some reason

I just wanted to confirm If I will be starting this race as a reserve? So that means I have to join when there is 5 mins left in practice1? i.e 20:25 GMT

There aren't reserves/full timers in UKGTL, it's every herring for himself. You will get in.  |
