see above (released 24hrs before the race)

Fun event - Bridgehampton

These were suggested for use in a future series (not the next one though), so this is a fun race to get feedback from people who haven't raced them before.

Well these are slow enough to have some close racing and fast enough to slide around the corners.

Didn't enjoy these cars at all and I usually love pork. Steering wheel felt disconnected from the front wheels at times and the ffb (which I'm now generally very happy with in AC) just felt too lumpy and grainy. Well you did ask for our feedback  Grin

Thing is, some people hold up Kunos cars as the quality standard by which all others should be judged but for every well done car, there is a clunker. I just look upon them as different mods within a game, some are well done while others just seem like they stuck pins in a board.....as with any other mod out there, free or payware. Of course this is all subjective and at the end of the day, we like what we like  Smiley

In contrast, I really enjoyed these & I am not a Pork fan. I thought the characteristics of the car felt just how I would expect them to be with just the right amount of understeer & oversteer. Great fun.  thumbup1

The race was mainly a case of trying very hard to find an opening to get past Stefan. Nearly managed it early on when he ran off track but he slid back across the the track & we collided which I think pushed Stefan back in the correct direction. I got close to him on several occasions but then made a mistake & had to catch back up again. Unfortunately I made two big mistakes in the last few laps & dropped back behind Syd & GT at the finish.

Congrats to Tim, Max (don't know how you guys turn in those laptimes  I Am Not Worthy ) & Stefan on the podium.  clap clap clap

Same story here than Geoff, seems like 718 suits and is fun on fast tracks.

Yeah, I did enjoy this RS60 too. During the race I learned that I should slide it a bit more into the corners and the car started to make even more sense. Laptimes were coming down lap after lap. I did have a good start and managed to slot into 3rd, but my early pace wasn't that great and I noticed Geoff's car getting bigger and bigger in my mirror. After my tiny excursion I expected Geoff to overtake me easily, but we seemed to rub doors instead. As I didn't see you go off or anything, I thought we just drag race to the next corner.

Still not sure if I could keep Geoff behind me for the last part of the race. Probably not if it wasn't for his slight mistake at the end. Congrats to Tim and Max, way too fast again. And thanks all for racing.

Does anybody know who Steve Watson is on here? There are several Steve's listed in LM2 but none are obviously our chap from last night...

Once I know who he is I'll be able to import the results Smiley

For those struggling with either handling or pace these cars required very manual weight management - You really needed weight over the nose to get the car turning.
Once it was rotating then you could use the throttle to keep it going - but as it's open diff then either too much or too little would normally result in your going straight.
As both the instances above would result in the steering going light (lack of actual weight, or lack of available turning power) this might also explain any odd Force Feedback you were encountering.
At peak cornering efficiency you shouldn't actually be using the steering wheel to do very much, so should actually feel very little other than the horrific bumps that plague Bridgehampton Cheesy

I believe it is probably Watty, he has raced here briefly before, but he was a regular for a long time at NoGrip GTL. Hopefully he will confirm.

As I have said before, I am spoilt for choice on Wednesdays, AC & GTL here & Raceroom enduro all on the same night, so it is which ever one takes my fancy. Tried the GT86 for next week & honestly I did not find it too exciting, but we will see.
