Season 39 - CANM71 – Round 7 – Nürburgring
The big cars at the Nürburgring - feeling like Stefan Bellof 1983 (6:11,13 Min) Please check the Season 39 pages for details regarding rules and the CanAm 1971 pages in particular. Handicapping The cars will be divided into five groups, each group containing cars of similar performance. Drivers will be graded as either "Professional", "Intermediate" or "Amateur". Drivers will be limited to cars from specific groups based on their grade and must choose 2 cars and drive them an equal number of times.

Sorry for the wrong settings in the beginning, server took wrong .ini or gremlins in my pc...
So I was hectic and did not get a clean lap... sweat in the eyes did not help either...

With the return of rules to this Series, I chose a worthy track to take on monster taming duties. It did not start well, as the car arrived with a miisfire, or fluctuating throttle pedal, which added to the challenge, and cost some time. By luck and by circumstance, my mid-grid starting position soon became a P2. The misfire stopped misfiring, and only one tree jumped out in front of me. Thereby, getting knocked back to P3 whick I doggedly clung onto. Congrats. to all those brave enough, to compete and complete the monster taming task.  |

Sorry, I made more than one reset after have blown engine at the end of lap 1 without any reason while I was running at 4000 rpm, then I hit fences and the car was damaged so I made another reset. I often confuse rules between tuesday and friday races A lot of effort to reach the end for nothing... |

".....back to P3 whick I doggedly clung onto."....that's meen unfair driving when I try to overtake you ,after loking me as possible,, you was in loose and spinn by overdriving and stop in the middle of track...then I can't avoid you !!...of course you restart whith no waiting for me !! ....so thanks you for the respect to me ( I'm around 10s faster than you here ! ) ....you may don't see that I am fighting for final victory on this champ ( it's dead know ! ),but it's your first race on this champ !!!

I am sad you are very unhappy Tristian. When we race for the podium I will defend. After the finish I stopped in the track. You lost only 1 place. Your big problem was the rolling start - you do not like this and I do not like this.  |

well I did'nt know that we can block someone else even when the guy is 10 second slower ....even if the risk is a fatal accident ...!! .....hum, but it's good to know and I sould use this rule when I can.....even if I think ....I was thinking we are gentlemen drivers here !!.... but it's look like some guy are ready to kill mum and dad to be on the podium ... lol ....of course I'm not happy whith sutch behaviour and not happy too by the decision's moderator who give credit to this kind of behaviour who is clearly against the spirit of GPL.....very sade indid !

The moderator's do not review every race, that would be far too much work. We rely on drivers to report incidents on which drivers cannot agree or where there is an opportunity for an incident to be reviewed so that everyone can learn and benefit. The rules regarding blocking are on this page. It states: Blocking is not allowed, but defensive driving is allowed. If a driver moves off the racing line before the car behind attempts to overtake, this is defensive driving. If they move off the racing line after the car behind has started to move across to overtake, this is blocking. If a driver is driving defensively they may move off the line and back onto it only once per straight/section. Please excuse my lack of language skills but if DeepL translator is to be believed it says: Le blocage est interdit, mais la conduite défensive est autorisée. Si un conducteur quitte la ligne de course avant que la voiture qui le suit ne tente de le dépasser, il s'agit d'une conduite défensive. I am also not happy with this situation. Martin drives extreme defensive, but in the limits. His trick is to make the follower slow by his going very sideways into a corner. In T2 he overdoes the tailbrake and slows to ~85kph (normal 120kph) at this point. Tris tries to slip through. My point was to not punish Tris for a crash wich is not all his fault  |
