Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: There are no start lights. Suggest the start countdown feature be turned on. Avoid going off at Knickerbrook. There is a hole in the surface that you may fall into. Also avoid the RH side of the track by the first tree on the RH side after the pit lane exit. There is an invisible obstacle there.

Phew. Never expected to be in the thick of things like that. Great, great fun but I'll have to put on my Captain Sensible Hat and go to sleep after that (5am alarm clock). If I can wind down, that is.

Grats all and hope y'all have a great 2nd race.

After what seems like an age of trying, I think that I have found setup/driving style for those infernal Minis.
Last night I stuck with the same 970S for both races because having found a way to hustle the buzz box around, I did not want to risk changing my approach to a rear wheel drive car. Plus of course, it did use up 2 drives in my least favourite car  Roll Eyes. I was disappointed that there were not more incidents ahead that allowed me to profit, but you guys were too consistent lol .

Race 1
Once again the FF gremlin screwed with my start until I persuaded it to kick in and from then on I enjoyed a tremendous tussle with Dan's Anglia. He was quicker on the straights but I was finally able to exploit the cornering of the Mini. Except for one spectacular incident at the hairpin when I caught a rear wheel on the grass and was only saved ( although I hate to admit it ) by the attributes of front wheel drive. I simply nailed the gas and allowed the front tyres to pull things straight again.

Race 2 was a quite lonely race and poor Matt's SnG on the final lap gifted me a 2nd in class, when I had hardly seen his tail pipes for the whole race.

Thanks to Tony for organising and to Dan for huge fun ( in a MINI !!!! ) through Race 1  Grin

Did not expect so much fun and to be so competitive  Smiley

Simply took the Zolder setup which comes with the car and made one or two slight adjustments.
Tyre wear - especially front left - was a problem, but overall a very satisfactory and rare result for me  Cool

First race was an epic. A fantastic battle with Kurt & Fulvio with so many place changes it was impossible to keep count. Kurt's Mustang was obviously a rocket on the straights & my Anglia was great in the corners with Fulvio having probably the best all round package. Battle was eventually settled by Kurt going mowing & me nearly rolling which allowed Dom to nick 2nd near the end.

Race 2, I intended using the Cortina but after such fun in race 1 I stayed with the Anglia hoping for more, unfortunately it didn't really happen. Chased Fulvio for a few laps until overdoing it at the hairpin & having a half spin losing around 4s. Lost a little more by nearly losing it again at Lodge before doing it properly a lap or so later & getting stuck against the barriers. This dropped me well down the field & I finished up battling with Dan & Matt for 3rd.

Congrats to Fulvio on his two wins & to Dom, Kurt & Dan on their podiums.  clap clap clap
