Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Car/Track download pack available by pm to WT

Track: Nurburgring ('67 Nordschleife)

Car restrictions: Four drives maximum per make. Check your car allowance here

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car make.
Race 1: 20:40 (5 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops required: No

Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Admin note. Track has start bug. If used again check for fix first.

Hi Tony,

sorry I didn't tell you about the bug. I saw too late that you drive the 67er version and it is the same version as on the Altbierbude.

Cheers Micha

Thanks Micha. But why does Altbierbude host tracks with known faults?

Hi Tony

Because we also found the error only at the 1st event and the people wanted to keep the track anyway. Strangely, it works offline with 36 drivers, only online not and we are looking for the error now already determined 1.5 years

cheers Micha

Event was in Dec 2020 so the download would have been deleted by now. It was probably the very first version of this track.

Results and replay now posted.

Sorry for the bad experience last night. Unfortunately I knew nothing of this bug until it happened.

After all the hassle with the track bug and switching to another version, the race itself regrettably turned out rather pointless.   No chance of mixing it with DD & Alvaro up front, and the rest of the field all dropped off prematurely.  On the first half of L1, I had Matt for relatively close company, so looked like we might have a race. He vanished from view however, after an apparent off. Gap 11 secs, but one lap later, it had jumped to around 30 secs, so he obviously had found more trouble, and disconnected shortly after.  Tony had already left and Kurt soon followed.

Over a minute behind the front runners, so puzzled when I found DD lying on his side at the bridge on the long straight.  Replay reveals he wound up on the wrong side of a hedge, and lost a huge amount of time getting back on track.  Alvaro waiting a little further ahead, but speeding up to keep the lead.  Had a 4-sec gap to DD at the start of the final lap.  Not my usual practice, but let him past when he had caught up at Fuchsröhre, so he could continue the fun with Alvaro.

Grats to Alvaro & DD; commiserations to the early bathers
