Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: There are no start lights. Suggest the start countdown feature be turned on.

Two very different races in two very different cars.

First race in the Mini started badly when Dominick in front of me seemed to get too much wheelspin & was slow away & I got boxed in behind & was then dead last. A couple of laps later a slight coming together with Tony into T1 put me over the bank leaving me well behind class rival Kurt. It seemed then that catching him was not going to be possible but I think Kurt got into a scrap with Matt which slowed them & I caught & passed Kurt with 2.5 laps to go. Stupidly I thought I may get past Matt too & tried too hard & ran wide at the hairpin & Kurt retook the place. Just had enough time left to catch up again & nicked Kurt's class win on the final lap.

Took the Mustang for race 2 but once again had a bad first lap, running wide at T1 & again at the hairpin. Luckily Fulvio also had a bad lap so by the end of lap 1 I was 2nd to Clive's Mustang. Took a couple of laps to find a way past but Clive had some good pace & it took several more laps to build a small lead & I had to drive hard all race to maintain it. My first overall win in any sim for two months! Not so alien these days.  Roll Eyes

Congrats to Fulvio on the first race win & to all the other class winners.  clap clap clap

Yeah, sorry, Geoff and others about those poor starts. I guess I'm going to have to follow a course with Dan the Rocket Man.

Picking a car here was easy: good memories of Snetterton+Mini and on top of that I found an Ati setup for the 1275S. And Mini+Ati = oh yeah.
Ignoring the US Navy (okay, and the starts) the Mini 1275S was clearly superior and that allowed me to even do battle with Daz in Race 1. I can assure you, that's a very rare occasion, especially in GTL. Somehow I even got past without destroying a minimum of two cars and maintained the lead all the way despite Daz' apparent eagerness to restore the natural order.

Race 2 went along similar lines except that this time it was Matt with whom an epic battle was beginning to take shape. Alas, Matt preferred car ballet to overtaking Dom and after his incident the gap was wide both in front and behind. No chance of catching up with the USS Nimitz, USS Enterprise or USS Saratoga and no one was coming back from behind so 'twas just a Sunday stroll to the end.

I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't admit that things are going way better than I hoped and expected. I seem to be much more relaxed than ever before and that's translating in consistency and decent enough precision. A bit of advantage in the cars and I can't compain at all about the results.

Congratulations to the 'Stang drivers, I'm already worried about the day I'll have to pick it. I don't think I've driven the default Mustang even once since I got GTL (around 1963, right?). Don't worry, I'll start at the back when the case occurs.  Grin
