Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 521s

1P makes a very dangerous rejoin, reversing quickly across the racing line. Madd is unable to avoid him, resulting in a heavy contact. Zarker makes a late attempt to avoid the somersaulting Madd, resulting in a second contact.

This was a reckless manoeuvre by 1P, he should have driven off the right hand side of the track and filtered back on.

  • 1ppenalty — Dangerous rejoin. — 3 places lost
  • zarker (Steve Collins)advice — Lift off early when approaching an incident.

Server replay time: 668s

1P is at the back of fours cars approaching a corner. He gives Madd a bump on the way in, then runs over the inside kerb and into the side of Madd, spinning him around.

1P had no realistic chance of making a pass from his position, so his priority should have been to avoid the cars in front.

  • 1ppenalty — Side-by-side contact. — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 960s

Madd passes Steve Collins (zarker) into the first part of the chicane. However, he hasn't cleared him completely, and turns in on him in the second part, sending Madd into a spin.

  • Madd-RIPadvice — Leave more room when alongside other cars.

Server replay time: 2487s

Mooman gives Madd a minor bump mid-corner, half spinning him. Mooman lifts to give Madd back the place, and apologised for the contact.

No that sounds like GTL. They are not precision instuments like GTR2 cars, they need you to make them do anything, you're the one doing all the work unlike GTR2 where the car does a lot of the work for you.

Fun isn't it! Grin

it might be shown when you use the HUD, but to be honest, I've never used the HUD so I'm not 100% on that lol.

I simply just find landmarks and do my best to check out my timer when I pass it to see if im gonna have a good or shatty lap

You need to enable HUD in cockpit view in your player.ini

Unlucky splint. Its the stupid way it works in GTL, you have to join the grid within the 30? second countdown otherwise your out, so its always best to assign your race setup, fuel etc beforehand or at end of qually.

That was good fun. Wasnt going to race as dont like the yank jobs much and have been suffering with a bad back all week, not helped by trying to yank the yank around these corners. Great track though, well suited to classic car racing, so nice find Simon  Cool

Qualied 7th, top 'Stang' so was happy enough with that.

Apologies to DG on warm up lap, as we came around that last tight turn onto the s/f straight, i pulled my steering wheel right off the desk and clumped your rear. I then meandered all over the road down the straight trying to steer one handed and get the wheel back on before the green light.  Shocked So also appologies to whoever was behind wondering what the hell i was doing. Embarrassed
Had a cracking battle for about the first 10-15 minutes, battling with several people and trading paint, great fun. THen found myself in empty track watching the DG/Ossie titanic scrap behind me for lap after lap. When that ended i was just trawling around on my lonesome in 7th for about 10 mins, saw that we were only halfway race distance and so pulled into the pits to call it a day. Too many twinges were emanating from my back. Sad
I think that race length was far too long in these old slowcoaches. 36 laps of dragging these skips on wheels is a bit too much.
Hope you all had a good 'un  angel

Yes, it was hard finding a short track suitable for the muscle cars but this one seemed perfect, with straights to stretch the cars legs, wide track for the huge tanks and good power sliding corners.

Silverstone will be revisited later in the season for a different class and a different track layout so hope you like Britain!

Oh man that was brilliant fun. I love these cars. Track made it even more interesting.

Bara, Stuffy and me had  great battles the first 20 laps or so, swapping positions all the time. Especially the 3 3-wheelers in a row in the next to last bend was hilarious. AT some points I could only see the sky  Grin.

I don't know my tyre wear, but I think it was around 100  Cheesy.

I can finally see the screen again, as the smile pushed my cheeks infront of my eyes  Grin

Shame Mark, was looking forward to resuming our long standing battle! I got bumped pillar to post then took avoiding action when Ossie span, had a few weird issues with the track in the race but had a whale of a time hunting people down, went from last to 8th, I got Mooman in final bend! Brill combination of car and track.

Ah, I thought something crazy must've happened. Wasn't too impressed at the time although I've had a couple of warp issues lately and wondered if that was it.

Went from 9th on the grid to dead last as the result but had some fun slashing my way up through the back few. Eventually ended up in a pitched battle with Ossie; at one point I got alongside into Copse but Ossie went into orbit and I felt a bit guilty so I waited, losing 20 seconds and 2 other places in the process. Then we got back into it and after a few laps I got properly alongside into Copse again and this time it stuck, albeit with some trading of paint.

A few laps later I did the same to Mooman and started trying to make an impression on 1p, but with about 6 or 7 to go my tyres hit 20 on the GTL-PD monitor and all the grip vanished. Spun several times and did the last lap slowly to make sure of 10th place.

There's clearly something very wrong with the track - too much grip perhaps and loads of really obvious nasty track segment joins.
