That was quite fun. Some windows down elbows action in these cars, to be expected, but it was all in good spirit. The really tight right hander with the armco was so easy to brake too hard get the back out and simply slide sideways across it.

Had a great scrap with Pribeiro for the latter part of the race. I was very slightly faster, but finding a way by was really really hard. I enjoyed working out how or where to pass as Pribeiro you were very wise in your driving. Thought I wasn't going to do it, but eventually managed it. Was a great fun battle thanks!!

Well done finishers and podium, looked like a great scrap for the win between MaddRip and Baracus there on the last lap to which I got grandstand seats for as I was lapped with 2 to go.

That was bonkers, as is traditional for a Mini race.  wacko Bit too 'elbows out' for my liking but I was just as bad as anyone else. Undecided clown Stupidly took team boss out when I missed my braking point for the bottom curve. Never did find a braking point for it - sometimes I could brake at the end of the tarmac on the right and still make the corner, other times I would brake at the start of the same piece of tarmac and still run in far too deep. Huh

Had ding dongs with a bunch of folks, but most notably Will who I finally started to get past and break away from before I stupidly spun at the tight hairpin. I'd half spun there a few times already, but this time it was threatening to become irrecoverable and I had the sudden realisation that in a Wrong Wheel Drive car you're supposed to apply throttle as well as counter steering, so I did. And it worked... right up until the moment I should've released the steering lock, but missed the boat and it snap spun back the other way and into the gravel. D'oh! Roll Eyes

Please please please can we have a Abarth race instead of Minis next time? Wink Grin

 clap What can I say!
A pb by over a second in quali and then an absolute amazing scrap with Baracus, 1P and Stuffy for the whole race, Stuffy was very unlucky and will no doubt be quite gutted as will 1P but it was pretty clean up front with only minor rubbing in some of the corners, with a few changes of position to make it interesting.
I just could not get past Baracus in the end, I just didn't have the acceleration in the final chicane to get near enough but was able to drag him in in the rest of the lap.
I did get along side once or twice but as we were so close to the Armco I didn't want to push the issue and make contact, possibly ruining our race.
Amazing quali time Stuffy  punk and excellent race Baracus I Am Not Worthy .
I would also like to thank the people we were lapping, most courteous all of you.

PS Another excellent track/car Combo, much like the Silverstone/Yank tank one recently.

Was a cool, fun, but hard race.
I really enjoyed.
Simon did a great race, i had 7 seconds advantage for him, but he
recovered and made me sweat for (15 laps, i believe).
Very fair driving Simon as you only overtake me when was safe, thanks. Wink
If Dave didnt spun, i believe i will be in double (sweating) trouble. Grin
Congrats to Baracus. Well done all podium.

An aplause for your car choices, been quite fun.
Can we have some more addon-tracks (there are some great out there) pleeeeeeeeeease Cool

Cheers Grin

Had a terrible race. Raced okay, but I'm still too slow. I can't believe how you guys can go that fast, my car will not go any faster. Embarrassed It was still fun, but would like to be faster.

Thanks Mad-Ripp about overtaking.

Great racing everyone - not easy to have such a clean race on this crowded track!

Quali was OK - I still reckon there is a 47... lap in the mini around here, but that will wait for another day. Smiley

The race went well for the most part, with a great battle with 1p, Baracus and Madd_RIP. I started to pull a bit of a gap at first, then 1p did a couple of great laps and was right on my tail again. He had a good run into the bottom righthander, and this early in the race there was no point defending, so he took the lead. I followed him for a couple of laps, trying to decide where best to try a move, then he appeared to spin the the real tight left hander - I came around the bend to find him nosed into the barrier in front of me - I bashed into his rear quarter sending bits of mini flying, then he disappeared (and we learnt later that he had controller problems - very bad luck 1p, it would have been an even better battle with you in it to the end!).

Baracus was now behind me, and true to form slowly closed the gap. Into the tight right-hander I ran a bit wide and had to keep off the gas while the front wheels hauled the car round, and BA took the inside line and the lead. I followed BA for a few laps, and he would regularly run deep into the bottom right-hander. Next lap, kept it tight and retook the lead at that bend. A little bit of door bashing as BA hit his late apex, but hopefully nothing contentious Wink

We were now closing on a group racing hard amongst themselves. I closed up on Ossie, and tried an overtake into the tight right-hander by keeping inside, but I missed my braking point and locked the fronts - off into the barrier Sad Down to third.

BA and Madd_RIPP were now 5 seconds ahead, and that's pretty much how it stayed. Well done chaps!

Bring on more tight 'n twisty tracks - they always give good racing. (Cadwell, anyone?  Smiley  )
