I believe we were 15 at start, GTL is alive. More - infact. I could have sworn there were 18 - despite what the results say. I'm sure Picnic was showing 16th in the pits. I was at the back and I could swear I started 18th ........ Nope - 15 there was ...... I blame abuse of Cinzano in mid-week practice sessions.......

There were 16, but Picnic didn't get to the grid in time, so he missed the start, poor chap.

The usual place for me, last of the finishing drivers Not a bad car to drive though, but I'm not quite confident with controlling these cars yet. So with a conservative setup, my front tires were shot at lap 9, and thing begun to get boring. But at about lap 17 I felt that I got some grip back, probably because I'd burned some fuel, so I could race again. But after just a lap or so I begun to get in trouble with the braking bias being set to much to the rear, so I had my hands full with keeping the car on the track. Not all bad though, got my first top 5 in a NR2003 Trucks race yesterday

Good race, and nice to see a decent sized field in GTL again I had a few things going on in qually, and didn't get on track until the last 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I vaught traffic on my first decent flying lap, and the session switched before I finished the next lap which was going to put me about 3rd on the grid. Annoying that these games switch sessions while you are still on a timed lap So 6th at the start and 6th at the finish. My setup was a bit too loose really and by lap 5 I couldn't push too much because the rear tyres seemed to have melted. Annoying because I was miles ahead of 7th but just couldn't find an extra couple of tenths per lap to make an impression on Simon. Congrats to everyone who took part - lots of good consistent driving out there tonight

Fun car on a fun track. Shame the race was a bit lonely. Couldn't find the pace every lap to stay with the battle for the lead, but was a bit faster than Simon behind me. At least it's a track that's interesting to drive alone!
Pribeiro - sorry if your spin was caused by me - I thought I was alongside into the bend and tried to keep it tight. Didn't feel any 'knocks' from my wheel, so assumed I'd passed cleanly. Apologies again if it was my fault.
See you all next time - hoping for another large turnout. Stu

Heh, it was good fun. I really wasnt in the mood to learn a new track and car in GTL last night and didnt really want to lose valuable spare time for praccy at Estoril in GTR2, but jumped in at qually with no practise whatsoever. Qualied 11th. Went off a few times early on as i was learning the car and track during the race, but once i got my rhythm i started getting along quickly. Got upto 8th before i went off hard braking behind a backmarker. Had some great fights along the way especially with Mike? Coop until i got clear, then fought my way back up and was gaining fast on the 8th-12th pack. Put Will under pressure on last few laps, he went off, then on very final turn (and he must be gutted) Bully ran wide on the kerb and i got a good line through the inside and beat him to the line to grab another place for 10th Great track and enjoyed sliding the Fezza around. Shame GTL/GTR doesnt allow custom skins so easily like the IL2 WW2 fighter sim does, as i have some fantastic historical racing skins on my pc for the Ferrari and other cars. It looked plain odd with 16 blue Fezzas on track. We should re-visit this track with an Alfa/Cortina fight.

Agreed. I can imagine theres a few car matchups that would work well here, Beamer v Capri ?

Hi all, I had a blast last nite, even though I was off the pace (and the track) lol. I was somewhat surprised to find myself qualifying in the middle of the field and not the back! I also beat my PB by nearly 2 secs with a 1.55.4 i think it was. At the start of the race I think I was up into 6th for a while, I had prib behind me taking up most of my mirror! After a few laps like this I just couldnt keep up the pace and Prib passes me, was great fun the few laps we were together, then shortly after that I come off the track. So after a few offs I find myself in 9th i think it was. than on the last corner, I go wide and end up sliding on the grass! and I forget who overtakes me and steals my place ! All in all great fun cant wait for the next one, I always loved GTL Just need to work on a bit of consistency! Cheers for the fun, Bully.

Sorry to hear your race was boring Dave - this was one of the closest races I have ever had in GTL!! Paul pipped me for pole in the dying minutes and I messed up my only chance of getting it back! Anyway gotta be chuffed with a 51.3 :-D Managed to get past on lap 1 at that slippery right hander, but then Paul and I were never more than about 2 seconds apart for the whole race! I somehow managed to get a good drive out of every critical bend, just enough to keep ahead even though Paul was definatley faster than me chasing. Had a couple of love taps - but nothing £250,000 won't sort out (each car of course). Thanks for waiting after that spin Paul :-) Great fun - I totally love the Ferrari's - just wish they were a bit faster in relation to the other cars as its mostly so uncompetitive racing against anything else!

Had another terrific race. Not a lot of action apart from a minor toussle with Bully(?). Panicked that I was gonna take him out going head/hed round a bend. But Managed to keep control only to see him go skipping off into the distance. haaha. Nice win Baracus - Congrats

Late posting up been a bit busy. The meeting was the most fun I've had in GTL in a non-TC65 car, I usually stick to the Mini. I was surprised I got pole TBH, I was wolfing my dinner down and came back to the game with just under 10 mins left in qual, so fuelled it for 5 laps and went for it. In the race baracus had the edge over me in the tight right hander, as I drifted a touch going in. He was always better on the exit of the tight left hander and you carry what you gain there for a good portion of the lap. The one time I did get a good go at that corner baracus had a slight slide going in and I tapped him into a gentle spin, soz 'bout that. Great fun though, grats to baracus on the win.
