Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Car/Track download available by pm to WT

Track: Road Atlanta

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (28 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops required: No

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Auto-Countdown on is recommended.

Will miss this too.  Went on a domestic drive, as a (very) poor substitute for my missed Alps trip.  Didn't expect to be back in time, so no practice at all. Hope you all have an enjoyable race!

Grats to Tony and Paul.

Apologies for leaving an already depleted field last night.

If practice and qualifying went like a dream for me, then the race was a nightmare!!  My FF problems returned at the start of the race. Off the grid I had zero "feel" in the steering and hitting Alt-F did not reset things , but I just managed to tip toe through T1 and T2 but on the exit of T3 things got silly and I did a 360. Stalled the engine twice!! but took the opportunity to try Alt-F again and the FF appeared to be working again.

I set off to catch the field and was slowly reeling them in. Kurt vanished and I had just got onto Paul's tail, and could see Tony up ahead, when the FF vanished again !!  Paul politely ran wide at the chicane and I slipped past him, but it was only a few corners later that I lost control again, and this time I think I ripped the front splitter off. By now I had picked up 2 "Cut Track" warnings and without FF it was only a matter of time before I completed the set and got an SnG.   Undecided Undecided
I struggled around the rest of the lap intending to do the SnG and take those moments to pound the Alt-F keys until the FF returned, but I failed miserably to control my entry into the pit lane and performed another 360 on the grass hitting the wall.
At that point frankly I lost the plot!!
Today I would willingly spend a couple of hours "fixing" this ruddy FF gremlin, but I have no clue where to search for the problem!!
I blame Windows updates in the absence of any other culprit.

Clive, just wondering if your wheel manufacturer has a forum where you could see if anyone else has your symptoms?

Thanks for your input Tony. When I was experiencing this gremlin before I looked for answers all over the internet but had no success.

I am of the firm opinion that the problem lies somewhere within the GTL config of one or more of my dedicated GTL installs. For sure, it is related to my Thrustmaster wheel but I do not get the problem in ALL of the GTL installs.
When it happens it is usually when we go from PRACTICE-QUALIFYING   or   QUALIYING-RACE. usually simply pressing ALT-F restores the FF to full working mode, and I now check this at each changeover.

The disturbing element of Wed's race was that the FF
 a) did not appear to re-instate when I pressed ALT-F on the grid.
 b) when I did get it to connect ( after my first spin ) it later seemed to vanish again??

Strangely it does seem to be most erratic  in the install for the Datsuns  Undecided

I completey lost control about my wheel/pedals four times during practice and qualy (still the good old G25 - could rejoin via task manager)
and eventually thought it possibly could be a track related issue as I never had any similar things before  Huh
