During the gap between the end of season 39 and the beginning of season 40 we have the chance to run our regular Xmas  special races.

If you are interested in taking part in this FUN event please post on this thread asap. The first race could be tomorrow ( Tuesday 28th Dec ) if we get enough interest.

Drivers will be assigned to teams so that the range of abilities is broadly matched across each team.
We will be using the '66 carset
Pro drivers will be limited to 2.0 litre cars only ( excluding 2.7 litre options)
Am drivers will have a free choice.

Santas       will drive RED cars i.e Ferraris
Elves         will drive Brabhams

If there are enough drivers then there may be a Snowman Team

Snowmen    will drive Hondas and Coopers/Lotus

Scoring will be from 18 - 1 so all drivers count.

First race will be at SNOWGLEN and more races will follow if enough interest.    http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=3662

I'm in, though I'd personally favour we take the winter tracks (rouenwin, snowglen, snowitude) to stick with the theme Smiley

I use the default setups Bernie. They are pretty good. There is a link to the 66mod on this post. Just follow the instructions on the downloads page. It is worth the effort, it is a great mod.

Not one of my favoured mods, but interested to make up the numbers.

From my quick (but UNOFFICIAL!) reckoning, the permissible cars would work out as:

Santas:
    AMSPRO
    Ferrari 312 V12 3lt                  Ferrari 246 V6 2.4lt
    Ferrari 246 V6 2.4lt

Elves:
    AMSPRO
    Brabham BT19 Repco V8 3lt    Brabham BT11 BRM V8 2lt
    Brabham BT11 Climax S4 2.7ltBrabham BT11 Climax S4 2.5lt
    Brabham BT11 BRM V8 2lt
    Brabham BT11 Climax S4 2.5lt

Snowmen:
    AMSPRO
    Cooper T81 Maserati V12 3lt    Lotus 33 BRM V8 2lt
    Lotus 43 BRM H16 3ltLotus 33 Climax V8 2lt
    Honda RA273 V12 3lt
    Lotus 33 BRM V8 2lt
    Lotus 33 Climax V8 2lt

Cheers,
Dave.
