Now that felt more like I was driving a car!

Never liked Mid-Ohio with all it's technical, perfect line turns, but tonight's drive had me appreciating it. Hmmmm.

Matt, you nearly caught me. You probably only needed one more lap, phew.

Sorry for the tap at the hairpin Bill. I was a bit miffed that you hadn't let me pass before the hairpin. I'll have to get another anger management session.

Cheers all and HNY

Took me three attempts to join in tonight.

BTW Matt, what happened to the Legends graphic on the Championship Table page?

I had trouble getting R3E to run at all, kept giving an error and option to drop to desktop
Eventually got in, and tried the Volvo, as it's the only one with Traction Control
but was struggling with it, so left to rejoin with the little Beemer that I have some setups for
but could not get it to run. Rebooted did a validity check on the local files, no idea if that
helped or not, but it let me in with 2 mins qual to go, so I just checked gearing and then pitted
to wait for start. Had a few nasty moments as the brake bias was unfriendly
did a few "Shift/[" and managed to start racing with some confidence
As Tony said, I had great fun trying to catch, and almost did  Grin

The Nissan was the fastest car, but for me it is one of the few in R3E that doesn't feel connected to the road!
Maybe I haven't driven it since they modded this class. Someone said it is now no faster last time
we used it.

No idea what has happened to the Series Detail. I have done nothing I'm aware of  scared

Errr, except I blocked public access to the bucket it was in, is ok now.
I was getting 20,000 hits on my public bucket with nothing exciting in it, so made it non public....

Sorry Tony, I kept over to let you through. Angry I too had a terrible time trying to join - kept getting kicked off to desktop! Worst still after the race my laptop was locked up when I tried to exit RRE. On restarting laptop it was locked into RRE still on same locked screen. That’s todays task to sort it out, any suggestions? Hope I can do it before next weeks race.  Huh

See you had a good turn out last night, surprising to me considering we're between Christmas and New Year. Sorry but I'm still a bit miffed it was OK to race tonight but not last week. Hey ho, I was never in with a shout anyway but I used to enjoy driving the 240.

Quite enjoyed that race after making a terrible start, just gave it too few revs & completely bogged it down. I compounded the bad start by giving Spanner a bump at the end of the first lap, don't think it affected him too much, but I spun out onto the grass. Had good fun though fighting my way back through the field, had the usual robust defence from Riccardo but he braked a little late for T1 & ran off track. Was then expecting to finish 3rd as the front two were well ahead but unusually Massimo crashed out & I inherited 2nd place. Nearly threw it away with a spin a couple of laps from the end, just managing to rejoin before Frex & Riccardo came along.

Congrats to Alessandro on the win & Frex in 3rd.  clap clap

Did not have as much problem joining as some apparently, just got dumped back to the lobby once when trying to join the server.

Big thanks to Matt for organising our fun this year & to Riccardo for dreaming up this series.  clap clap

Happy New Year to all.  thumbup2

Sorry you couldn't be there Pete, you would have been up there at the sharp end in the Volvo. I too assumed I would not be able to make this one, but a last minute change of plans allowed me to quickly hop on the server and join in.

Glad I did as was quite a fun battle with Riccardo. The small gap between us was remaining constant however, and when Geoff showed up I allowed him by (not that I would have held him back for long anyway) in the hope he would start hassling Riccardo better than I was. This turned out well as it forced Riccardo into a mistake and we both got past. Good fun.

Congrats Alessandro, commiserations Massimo.

Happy New Year/Buon Anno to all.
