Handicapping
We will use the tokens system again this season. The tokens system is actually a chassis levelling system, not a form of handicapping. So to introduce a form of handicapping into the 1955 Grand Prix series, drivers who are classed as "Privateers" will be given additional tokens.  This will take the form of 10 additional tokens at the start of the season.  However a "Privateer" driver who fails to start any of the first 5 races will only be eligible for an additional allocation of 5 tokens (rather than 10).  "Privateer" status will be declared by the divisional moderator at the start of the season.

Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents do carry an extra 1 place penalty.

The races will be run under Pro rules so no shift-Rs are allowed.

If there are enough entries, there will be two servers. One for the Works drivers and one for the Privateer drivers.

Only reported incidents will be moderated.

Please note: the value of the tokens has changed for this season. The Vanwall is worth 9 tokens and the Connaught is worth 8 tokens.

If you would like to enter this series please submit an entry in the poll.

I think Clive was reminding me of the CTD a Wheelers that can occur with the 1955 version. To be honest, I'd forgotten about that. Thanks for the prompt Clive. So I've swapped Dundrod 55 for Dundrod 1950. It is the same track but any earlier version that isn't quite as pretty but it is more stable.

I like the circuit too Bernie, it is one of my favourites.

I actually prefer the 55 version but its CTD issues make it difficult to use.

We should perhaps let the creator of the track, Jim Pearson, know of our problems.

Wich Hockenheim?

I think that the link is for the 67 version. That's what we usually use.

Yes that is right, track list updated.

Note: I always list the track folder to try to avoid confusion because this is always unique even for variations of the same track.

Blimey Clive, nothing gets past you Wink . Renato Jungle was unable to vote so I've manually registered him. There are 22 entrants.

Hi Petr

Yes of course, you are very welcome. You've selected the <75% option which effectively makes you a reserve but we'll be running 2 servers so there will always be enough space on the grid to accommodate all the reserves. So with the current numbers of registrations and 2 servers you are guaranteed a place on the grid even if you can't drive in all the races. Good luck in Season 40  thumbup1
