Hi Smiley I download the track here and it's nice track with the snow folling and the fog ....nice one !
...after have been hit at " nouveau monde " by Bob (thx Bob ! ) I restart nearly last and have to fight hard to recover ...sorry Doni , I break as I can but not enought !apologies man !...fortunatly there was a good end for me...as the guys in front fight together and loose time doing some mistakes...then I can take the lead at 2 laps from the end .
Please guys , for the next race , if it's possible to don't hit me on the first lap it will be cool ...Wink

From hero to zero over the two races for me lol.

I will work out the points ( and any penalties ) tomorrow.

Thanks to all who took part, I hope it was fun  Grin

Clive , I slowed to let you through on the pits straight  ( didn't see the point in racing the team leader when you were obviously quicker ) too bad went wrong !

I got taken out 3 times in total by "Pro" drivers who dont seem to care about others and think they own the track  Undecided

My apologies Bernie. I was not expecting you to lift as your car was obviously much quicker in a straight line ( you had proved that on previous laps!!) and although I was probably too close and beginning to ease to the right, I was just waiting for you to accelerate away and open the gap.  Maybe we should arrange some semaphore messaging system for future races??  Undecided. You were very quick and I was enjoying  the racing with you and I felt very guilty and foolish after the contact. oops
I can only say that during last night's race I had gearbox dyslexia. I lost count of the number of times I plain forgot what gear I was in and which gear I wanted next !!! I was hitting 2nd instead of 6th and it was almost a deliberate selection, as if I actually wanted 2nd???  It must be old age or total lack of concentration. Sorry to anyone who came across a Lotus with smoking tyres spinning along the tarmac half way down a straight. Eventually the engine protested that it had suffered enough abuse and went on a go slow for the last laps. I struggled to the finish just to collect a couple of points for the team.

I am a big fan of Max but I would love to have seen him racing in the 70's alongside Senna Schumakker etc  .

I just finished a bio of Jochen Rindt who I watched racing through his Brabham F2 days and into F1 with the Cooper team , believe me he was a country mile better than any of todays lot !

I was at Monaco when he won on the last corner of the last lap , Silverstone when he went head to head with Stewart swapping places 3-4 times per lap and almost every one a new lap record .

Rindt replaced Clark in my hero's book who I also saw race at Oulton Park in F1 F2 Sports racing and saloons .

Them was the days  Wink

I have a good collection of f1 books, including a first edition of his bio. If he put his belt on properly, he may have been fine.

Schumacher was only 10 years old in 1979 (and Senna was 19) so you mean in the 80's for Senna and the 90's for Schumy (and after 2000, too).
Jochen Rindt also won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1965 with Masten Gregory (it was the last win for Ferrari).

...

I also wasn't paying attention to who my team mates were. Sorry for my comment in chat Andreas - I could see you were in the Ferrari but totally forgot you were driving for the Snowmen. Well done on scoring team points!

Yeah, at first I thought you thought I was in the big Ferrari. Well, never mind.
All in all, we got a good result.
