Moderator's Report

Summary
A win for Cookie in the Lancia with Leo in a very close second place. A fine drive by JonnyO secured the final place on the podium.

Lap 7 – Schikane – Phil Thornton and Claudio Navonne
Phil managed to get a good exit out of the previous corner and had the inside line into Schikane. He couldn't see where Claudio was from the cockpit so he kept as tight a line as he could but unfortunately contact was made.

Claudio did nothing wrong.

Looking at the overhead view, it shows Phil didn't have enough overlap (<50%) at turn-in so this incident has to be his fault although it looks like the contact was exacerbated by warp.

I had the best car and tried to not make big errors and avoid any contact. It was interesting at lap 6 when Bastian made a move in between me and Clive at Tiroch  Shocked
I don't know how GPL decided to not kill us.  laugh

LOL

It came as quite a surprise to me too.  I had left room on the inside because I thought that you were lining me up for a dive down the inside and then that damn red thing appeared!   laugh

oh dear ! don't remind me. it was no "move". My brakes were green fortunately. But i was so surprised how early both of you breaked, so i pressed mine to hard.

the car went unstable, and i somehow managed around you two and stayed on track. and i was in front...You're right, we were lucky on that...

Hi Enrique

I'm very sorry you feel offended, I'm sure Doni didn't mean to be aggressive and disrespectful. I suspect he just got a bit excited and typed something in the heat of the moment. Please be assured we do not condone racism, sexism or antisocial behaviour of any kind at UKGPL. We are all friends here, just having fun. I will have a read through the chat, I'm pretty sure I logged it.

ok phil no problem, yes is a "hot" moment of the qualy, for my part its forgotten. Wink
