Prototype Potluck Round 6
The 300KMs of Hockenheim

Welcome to Round 6 of the Prototype Potluck series - As Riverside didn't feature a fast enough straight we're now off to Hockenheim so we can really throw ourselves at the scenery!

Keep in mind the advice from last time regarding driving to your own and your competitors cars strengths and weaknesses and this one should turn out to be quite a close challenge.

Qualifying etiquette
To match most race events of the late 60's we are having a combined 1 hour practice and qualifying.
Due to this the track will contain drivers who are practising and setting up and also drivers who are running a qualifying lap.
If you are on a hot lap please turn your headlights on - and remember to turn them off again once finished.
If you are simply practising or working on setups please keep your headlights off and try not to hold up drivers who are on hot laps if you can avoid it - you'll want them out of your way when it's your own turn to try and qualify. Wink

Please note that the start time has been moved slightly forward from our traditional time - this is to allow the race to finish at a similar time to normal

Practice/Qualifying: 19:00 (60 mins)
Race                  :  20:00 (40 laps)

Cars allowed:

Drivers must either post their car choice here or PM it to me by 18:00(UK time) on Tuesday the 18th. This is so I can ensure the server has the correct numbers of cars available. You can inform me in advance if you wish to do so.
Drivers who have posted/sent their preference will get priority, so turning up without 'booking' your car could result in your being being removed from the server to make room for someone who has booked. You will then have to rejoin in something that is available whether you have practised in it or not.
You can see my own car choice listed in the Series announcement thread.

Ford GT40
Porsche 908LH
Ferrari 330 P4
Porsche 917k

What Max said - last time we used it Solmyr (I think) paid for it anyway as he didn't read the description  Grin

If, after you've got it you decide it's good enough to warrant a donation, then do yourself a favour an get his version of Rouen - you'll never touch the free versions again Wink

Agreed, he makes lovely tracks and Rouen is right up there with the very best mods.

Now if we could just persuade everyone to buy it and then race some proper historic stuff (inc 67 F1) there, that would be awesome...

Sorry guys gonna miss this one, 2 reasons. 1/ I want to do Tony's GTL race this week. 2/ Not sure my eyeballs can stand the bumps for 40 laps. Should be back next week.

Get well soon Tim.

I'm out for this one and might have to put my racing aside for a while.

Work has come in and hopefully it means I'll be back on the horse after nearly 2 years in the stable kicking at the door  laugh

Hope you're feeling better soon Tim  thumbup1

Too bad that it means you won't have any time for racing GT, we often seem to be on the same pace..
