Non Champ Race

Practice:19:45 (20 mins)
Qual:    20:05 (15 mins)

Race 1: 20:20 (17 Laps) Rolling Start

Race 2: ~20:35  (33 Laps) Rolling Start

Cars allowed: P2 Chevy Daytona

Circuit: Daytona International Speedway (Oval)
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Rolling
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x 3
Pit Stops: Required for RACE 2
Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Cool, Riccardo  thumbup1

I have set the server to max fuel use, which is x4
It is possible to just finish the race with a full tank (I think)
I can set mandatory pitstop on the server, if needed

I don't mind whether it has pitstops or not

Poster for Discord and 3 Sectors

Test was with Fuel consumption on 3x. Which create`s if you save little fuel Race 1 no pitstop. In race 2 you need to do pitstop.

I would addept fuel consumption to 3x, so we have 1 race without stop and 1 race with stop.

Mmm, I can only do 15 laps on a tankful at x3 fuel, would need some serious fuel saving to do 17 laps.

If you use lower maps it is possible, But I had to run map 1 and 2 for some laps to complete 33 laps

Perhaps x2 might make the race a bit faster. But even on map 2 it only goes a few mph slower.

Mmm, I can only do 15 laps on a tankful at x3 fuel, would need some serious fuel saving to do 17 laps.

Did some single events on AI 116 with AI 12 cars.

First race, my tactic is to race on engine mode 1 and never be at the lead (be carefull for gaps before you, close them down directly. especially if your group is smaller).

I start to push with 4/5 laps to go.

In this race all car`s do a pitstop, but they will lose a lap.

Second race, same tactic. Only for the pitstop, if other cars start to pit and you think its okay to go to the end. Pit with the other car`s, if you stick to do more 1 or 2 more laps to push more on your second stint. It can be that the earlier pitted car who stayed in group are 1/2 sec faster, and then after you come out you`re alone.

Common rule is to stay in the group and not drive at the lead. Unless your a group behind  Grin.

Bump drafting not possible with AI cars, they move away just if you approach them closely.

First race: don`t understand the pace of Riccardo and Massimo (they worked very well together). Fun fight with Martin, Geoff and Giuseppe

Second race pack stayed more together, until pit stop. I think spanner pitted 1 lap to early and lost connection. and Geoff probably DT. Ricaardo disconnected. But had a tactical head to head fight with Massimo.

Conclusion, fun for 1 time. Congrats for the clean racing  thumbup2

Was a good event. I ran out of fuel in race 1 with premature acceleration
race 2 I hung back to conserve fuel, but didn't click on the fuel to set it to green
and it changed tyres instead, not enough fuel to get round again.

Sorry, I let it do results without doing 2nd race...

I really dont like this fuel saving malarky! I set it in setup and leave it... map 1 was clearly too slow in the first race, despite crossing the line with 3L left.. Upped it to map 2 for second race, with no real idea of a plan..pitted when i couldnt do another lap... didnt slow down enough (why cant they actually have better pit lane entries!!!) hard to judge distance.... so it DSQ me.

I would agree with Mark, a dry race with normal consumption not even 50 laps
