On lap one, turn one, Tristan has lost control at the approach of the braking zone ==> Simple rear end shunt ==> penalty 1 place + 1 for first lap

Server replay time: 0h01m09s

This one is worst in my opinion : Tristan was in full control (car was stopped just before) but made a very bad rejoin on track when Phil was coming, contact was done and several cars impacted ==> blatant bad rejoin = 2 places

My race in a nutshell :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f70Z3cvrQd0

 Grin

Did the pole in front of Greg, took a good start and managed to keep him behind all race long. Lap after lap I had "-1" on the pit board, but despite a couple of wide ones at the hairpin I was confident I could hold him off. Five laps from the end he fell back 7 seconds behind so it was looking good indeed. I was catching up Leo and Kike who were in a hot fight for position so I thought I'd slow down a bit as to not spoil their race so close to the finish. Slowed down too much. Kissed the inner guardrail at turn 3. Two laps from the end. Goodbye wheel. Goodbye win.

Arguably one of my greatest defeats  Grin !

Anyways nice racing Greg and grats for the win ! Ditto to all finishers, great pace with slow cars galore out there ! Thanks hosts. See you all next time.

I think that was me Roll Eyes, I was slow enough for drivers to think there was more than one Honda on the track Shocked. I'm not a fan of the short tracks so I thought I'd take the Honda (the hardest car for me) and get it out of the way.

I was amazed to see no retirements after the incidents on the start line and at T1 on L1. Sorry for the contact on L3 K.Miele, I thought I had just enough room to squeeze past but the armco came in at that point and I clipped it which pushed me into you. Thankfully we could both continue. After that is was just a case of survival for me.

I meant there were a lot of people going fast with slow cars, sorry for the misunderstanding Wink. Traffic was impeccable and that includes your Honda(s)  Grin

4th place in the BRM running out of fuel in the last lap is good enough for me.

Pushing hard to keep in front o Bob and Kike made my fronts overheat and I had massive understeer. Bad setup and I used much more gas than planned. One more lap Enrique and you would be 3rd. That was a hard race.

Now seeing the final result of the race is a beautiful podium!!!!
I think Greg Taber deserves a win with so much bad luck last season, it's good to see Taber back!!!!!

Same thing seeing Doni very strong at Norisring, very competitive!!!!
I hope to have more luck in the next race.

I think that some red tickets should be raised for L1 crashes.  Roll Eyes
I started dead last after start crash and the podium was an unexpected result.

Luck was on your side today, Fulvio.  Grats on P3.

I very much agree that stiff penalties for such nonsense as took place in T1 on Lap01 should be meted out.  I'll be back later with a full report and a proper dressing-down for Monsieur Boulet de Démolition.

according to fulvius.
I had a terrible start since the fulvio's BT got a bit stuck at the start, and when I dodged it, my car skidded and I managed to touch it, fortunately without serious consequences for it, I was fortunate to fly through the air and fall in the full pit area (that's very lucky)
I started from the pits almost from last place and dedicated myself to finishing the race.
I had an excellent set up and I know I could come strong, and that's how it was, I didn't make a single mistake in the race, and I was able to come back to 5th position, with 2 very strong BRM, it was very difficult for my cooper to overtake them, with a few laps to go I saw that Baab spun and managed to stop helping him straighten up ....... Cheesy
later he made the same mistake again and managed to dodge him, and I was able to win that position, then he was chasing leo with all the fury that my cooper gave me, and I managed to catch him, but with 3 or 4 laps to go, I gave him a little touch in the last corner and I dislodged him, I braked to give him back his position and Fulvio took advantage of that mistake of mine and won 2 more positions,...... angel..very good teamy, in the end I finished 5th and because of my mistake I made him lose one position to leo in the general and I apologize for it. ...... Congrats Doni and Fulvio! Shame on you Frank for tossing your win. Thanks for the gift.

I didn´t expect to win. Two lucky wins in a row! Smiley I haven´t thought I might win a GPLBrasil or UKGPL Works race in years. At one time I would try to set myself up to win a certain race each season. I didn´t think I would or could win any race this season. I´m not surprised I did well at Riverside and Norisring. I´ve finished many times on both tracks. I thought the Lotus´s acceleration would work well on this track. It did.

It was nice to see Doni show some good strength. He qualified about the same as my fastest Ferrari lap. I apologize if my slow first turn caused you to get in an accident. I was trying to do my best to not hit Frank. I was glad to see you were still in the race.

Good race Frank! You did well until the end. It was much easier to follow than lead. I was able to be careful and leave a good gap for emergencies. I felt I might have been able to be a little faster than you the first half of the race if I were leading. But I would have needed 2-3 second gap to assure I was consistent. I did great staying in position for any mistake you might make. After I almost spun as I approached Fulvio, I thought the race was settled. I was surprised you would make a much bigger mistake. You seemed to accelerate sooner than I could exiting the first and last turn. I was able to slide the car into turn 1 better than you appeared to do. I only fell behind twice before catching Fulvio. I couldn´t get traction out of the last turn. I lost a second there both times.

I found a good routine this time. I copied my Norisring Cooper setup. I changed the differential. I practiced for 20 minutes before qualifying. Some minor camber and gear adjustments had me in decent shape to start qualifying. And a coast side ramp angle change mid-qualifying got the car as good as I could have hoped. That was just enough driving to get me somewhat consistent, comfortable, and safe. I did the same thing Friday with the Chaparral except I used my Sebring Chaparral setup to start practicing.

I feel bad for Frank. He had me beat, but it´s always nice to get a win each season even if it was a lucky one.

Thanks for the fun guys! I appreciate it.

I think i could have been a bit more competitive with a better setup.
I ran my engine up to 102 ° C and went into short shifting, getting even slower.

I was lucky at the start, waited until all debris was cleared, but nearly everyone collected me again later.

Grats to Greg, the podium and all finishers. A round of applause for my team mate Doni who is putting together string of respectable  finishes across the board lately.  thumbup2

A little ( a lot!) disappointed to go out so early.
My plan was to drive carefully and get to the finish in the Ferrari, which is a car that I rarely choose. All my practice and qually was done with full race fuel as I did not want any surprises with a heavy car when the race started.
But, my expectation had been to start at the back of the grid because a heavy car in qualifying would surely not be on the front rows and then I could avoid the inevitable crashfests on lap 1. So, when I suddenly found myself on Row 3 for the start all of my "drive safe" plans were in trouble.
Entering T1 I was like a Meerkat watching both mirrors for dive bombs and deliberately staying wide, quite prepared to lose a few places but stay out of trouble.
Then it all went totally t*ts up!! There was contact ahead and suddenly, there was a car rolling backwards right across my nose that I could not avoid. I bounced off of that car and half spun. Then I was hit hard and launched into the air spinning around several times and landing facing the wrong way. I drove out around the back of the tyre wall and rejoined the track after T1 now back in 10th place Undecided, but something was not right. The nice Ferrari V12 appeared a little down on power for the rest of the lap.

My setup allowed me to take T1 and T4 in 2nd gear and avoid wheelspin/ high tyre temps and over revving, so I was absolutely confident in not suffering a mechanical failure. But exiting T1 on lap 2 there was a bang from the engine and then silence. I can only assume that the impacts at the start had inflicted terminal damage on the engine.
That ending was not on my script  Sad
