2022 NoGrip Legacy Historic TC Championship.

Description:
Online racing series of 24 Races (19 Events) consisting twin race events, normal races, Hill Climbs and Endurance races. Race calendar is fictional Historic Racing Championship with events all around the world. Car selection consists cars that raced in 1970’ish with some non-existing ones replaced with close match. All cars have physics calibrated to run against each other. The Classification system has four divisions and each having 2 classes.

Changes after last year:
Points system.
For this season total revamp of the points system has been done. Normal races and hillclimbs score equally, but for twin race event half a points per each individual race will be given and endurances score double amount. Also, 2 worst event scores will be dropped from total and there’s no limitation anymore how many times you can drive per each class, but you do score 4 extra points by driving in class first time. Drivers’ championship scoring and scoreboards will be provided using ServerStats as the system is rather complicated and It was more feasible to implement there.

Also Team championship is organized. It features different scoring scheme and it’s scoreboards are available here in UKGTL scoring system.

New cars.
Big thanks to CY-33 of Team21 allowing us to use modified version of their Nissan Skyline GT-R (in under 2000cc class) as addition to this year. Another new comer is BMW 1600 TI. I was planning to introduce the 1600 TI to 1600cc class in very first season in 2019, but the unclear situation at Brickyard Legends team slowed things down. However I was able to make sure that releasing standalone mod based on legacy of BYL model was ok and finalize 1600 TI at last. Plus, as I had some time, 1600 TI  is now accompanied with it’s bigger brother 2002 TI to class above. Smiley

Shared events.
After giving some thoughts about special endurances and about the feed back I got those during the years, I decided to organize not only one but two championships this year. NoGrip Legacy TC Endurance Cup will have it’s own points system and own championship thread, but it shares 4 races (of it’s total of 8 races) with Historic TC Championship. And yes, you guessed right: the special endurance events have been moved to be part of these new series. NOTE: if you are planning to run on both championships, notice that Endurance Cup has more strict class limitations than Historic TC Championship and it WILL effect your available car choices in shared races.

The Event Calendar:
Season is basically divided in two parts: first 10 races are before July and the rest are after July. (Mid June to mid August is kept as summer break so to speak.)
Races will be held on mondays (race calendar below). Race start time is usually around 20:00 GMT/BST. Exact race time and qualifying session start time will be stated in each race invitation.

Car Rules:
  • No limit on how many times you can use each car.
  • Every start in new class scores 4 extra points, so 32 points available by just driving cars in every class!


Drivers’ Points system:
  • Starting in class that driver has not yet started: 4 points. (as stated above.)
  • Points per CLASS by position (Normal and hillclimb events):
       
    • Overall Winner: 1 point.
    • 1st:   9 points
    • 2nd:   8 points
    • 3rd:   7 points
    • 4th:   5 points
    • 5th:   4 points
    • 6th:   3 points
    • 7th:   2 points
    • 8th:   1 point
  • Points per CLASS by position (per each race of the twin race event):
       
    • Overall Winner: 0.5 points.
    • 1st:   4.5 points
    • 2nd:   4 points
    • 3rd:   3.5 points
    • 4th:   2.5 points
    • 5th:   2 points
    • 6th:   1.5 points
    • 7th:   1 points
    • 8th:   0.5 point
  • Points per CLASS by position (Endurance events):
       
    • Overall Winner: 2 points.
    • 1st:   18 points
    • 2nd:   16 points
    • 3rd:   14 points
    • 4th:   10 points
    • 5th:   8 points
    • 6th:   6 points
    • 7th:   4 points
    • 8th:   2 points
  • Note that position points are given by CLASS position. So in case of Normal race, at least 2 drivers will score 9 points as there’s 2 classes per Division.
  • Two worst event results will be dropped from total in the end of the season.


Five different drivers’ champions:
  • Division ½ champion
  • Division 1 champion
  • Division 2 champion
  • Division 3 champion
  • Overall Champion


Teams’ Points system:
  • Teams are formed by Simracing UK’s LM2 team system.
  • Points per driver result: 18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
  • Average of points is calculated by team members in race.
  • 30% of race distance has to be covered to score points
  • All events count
  • Most points scored team wins the season.

Special Notes:
  • Each race invitation will have notes about allowed classes and also how it is going to be scored.
  • The time based races are really time based as I found way to organize real time based races. This means that when the race starts, clock starts counting down and when the time is up, race will be checkered flagged. Smiley (Thanks Geoffers helping to find this loophole in GT Legends. Smiley )

    • Only use this if you have downloaded Pack 2.0 or have troubles with Skyline sounds or you have troubles joining in Division 3 event.

For testing it's a good idea to only use standard GTL tracks.

Also only allow cars that need testing.

NOTICE!
As there was problem with Skyline in version 2.0 Car pack, I had to update the car pack once more.
- If you already downloaded the 2.0 version, use the 2.0 -> 2.1 updater (it's program which fixes the 2.0 install when it is ran, so unfortunately extra step is needed.) to fix and update your car pack to 2.1
- If you have not yet installed this year's car pack, download the 2.1 version.

You can find both download links from the first post of the championship thread.

I strongly advice everyone try to join with Skyline to server before the official event to make sure that you have working install. if the game crashes, please download the Car pack Fix and run it from your gtl.exe install folder. That should cure the problem.

NoGrip Legacy HTC Championship 2022 / Endurance Cup 2022
Brno 2 Hours Endurance
4th of April, 2022

First shared Endurance event with Division 1 cars.  
This event is counts for Historic TC Championship as well as for the Endurance Cup. Please note that The cup has more strict class limitations, so if you plan to run for complete cup, you can run in each engine class only once.
