Practice: 19:45 GMT ( 30 mins)
Qual: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 ~ 30 Mins

Cars allowed: Formula Junior (Formula Ford-ish)
Track: Brands Hatch (INDY)
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Password: see above

Server: Simracing.org.uk E9

Championship Standings

Example Setup: TBA

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

So. This is the 1st event of "BoB" Best of both. I have done this one as a single race
we may do future events for this series as 2x20 minute races but the scoring system, is a bit "interesting"
so I am keeping it simple for now.

Next week will be the 1st of the GTR2 series.

Huge thanks to Tony for weaving the web of magic to create the series  I Am Not Worthy

Shout at me if I have missed something as I am teaching at Tower bridge this week....

Tried a few laps in these yesterday. I think they must have had an update since we last used them as they seem much easier to drive than I remember.

made this one today, some quick last minute work

@Geoff, indeed the FRJ is much easier and the basic setup is already good. 2 years ago the car was very oversteery and you need much adjusments in the setup to have a steady car. Never saw an announcement of an update to the FRJ (maybe with the tire update)

Congrats Geoff and Dieter,

Loving this track and car combination. Only the first few laps where terrible (srry Pete). Luckily i didn`t quit and moved up towards podium, after first Pete and in the last lap Spanner spun out.

@Martin, server was set to 30 laps  Grin (luckily a lap is almost 1min  Wink)

Underfueled by 5l litres... with 21l at start that's a big difference, I thought that I saw a safe "34 laps" in the setup but who knows now  Roll Eyes Maybe it was "24"

Achhh. sorry I though I had got everything. Results will have wait, as I am away, and have a nightmare journey
tommorow due to storm "some female name" and won't get back home 'till 22:00 at the earliest
Would rather do it on my home PC rather than this tiny device, so I will have a go at this new results system then.

Apart from the v4.1 tyres, there was this in the June 2021 update:

Quote
Formula RaceRoom Junior, 2, 3, 4 and 90 - Tweaked rear tyre slip curves to give more progressive grip drop off beyond the limit

Fun, but need to practice. Close laptimes bodes well for future races and should be a good series. Congrats Geoff.

Good result but a rather lonely race after everyone appeared to make some error or other early on. Hopefully the remaining races will be a little closer.

Congrats to Frex & Birger on the podium.  clap clap

I clearly didnt drive it before, if this is considered as better handling! The understeer never went away... and it almost felt like a locked diff at times on corner exit as it would slide quite abit.

Race started ok but the two ahead seemingly were slowing each other as i caught them up but then had to brake heavily to avoid Frex spinning in first corner, dropping back. Then spun myself in the first corner much later (didnt realise it was the last but one lap either). Just never felt the grip was there for the car.
