I actually qualified just ahead of Chong, in a time of 1:30.611.

Thanks, now fixed.

I think the results are ok for my positions.  Smiley  Must have been a hard work, Dave.  Sad

My impressions: I think Vertigo doesn't really fit in the GTC class. ANY car ate me up for breakfast on ANY straight. Vertigo was quicker through corners, but you can't overtake through corners - at least I don't do that.  Angry  If you can't close up until the next corner then even high exit speed doesn't help as you're not close enough to try late breaking. I was losing positions on straights and couldn't gain any even though I closed up through corners - the next straight just increased the gap. Wasted evening in a wrong car - I won't take this car anymore anywhere unless I race against other Vertigos.  Sad

About racing: I'm in UKGTR from Season 2 on and I must say yesterday it was the first time I had to nudge another car during pace lap to maintain my quali position. WTF  Huh  Pace lap is meant to warm the tyres and brakes and engine. Leave space and close up just before pit-limiter is applied.  Tongue
I saw a bit too much of overdriving, dicy moves, (too) late breaking, overreacting.  Undecided  I was a bit concerned at first but when I saw this "racing" car is not gonna take me anywhere higher I eased up and was amused and I enjoyed some of the duels (in front of me - I couldn't race anybody  Grin ) the guys had.  Smiley

I race Sprints for fun, so I'm gonna change car often here. Mosler looks interesting.  Smiley

Just like Barcelona I just managed to sqeeze in front of Claus in qual, only to give up the place on the first lap - a small mistake at T1 and his rocket ship BiTurbo was alongside into T2. He didn't force it though, and did the same at T3, but this set up the pass into T4 - nice driving Claus  Cool

Mo and Keith took up station behind, and the rest of the race was fairly straightforward. I gradually pulled away from Mo and Claus caught up with Jon and eventually passed him. Jon was then having a real go at fighting back, but in the end went exploring over the bank at T5, handing me a comfortable 3rd. Ruskus tried to make it interesting at the end by going off and rejoining only a couple of secs ahead, but he was still too fast to challenge. Overall I'm quite satisfied with 3rd on a track which seems to catch me out more often than not. A good result from the team too - nice one Mo  thumbup1 and unlucky Keith  Sad

With 3 Kerbies all around the same pace in the NGT sprint I'm vaguely toying with swapping to the GTC cars for a bit more action. Now if Dave could just issue a new pack with a ballasted GT3 RS for me to compete in....

Also Dave, I think there is an anomoly in the results. Claus is shown driving a BiTurbo, but he must have fitted a turbo to an RSR chassis since BiTurbos simply don't go round corners that fast Tongue

I'm pretty sure the anomaly is CJ himself... Wink alien

Results look good to me thanks Dave.
I started 5th and finished 4th which I'm well happy with.
Its such a relief to be able to race without fear of the pc crashing now that I've upgraded and all seemed to work well Smiley

I was in a Kerbies sandwich for most of the race with Paul eeking out a small gap in front and Keith pressuring me from behind. I pushed hard but couldn't catch Paul and Keith eventually got past when I made a mistake. I was settled for 6th at that stage but then Keith disco'd and I saw Jon in the gravel so I gained a couple of spots near the end, even tho I did no overtaking.

A good team result for sure, and amazing to see all three of us Kerbcrawlers with the same pace again this time.

Good clean racing by everyone see you at the next one.
Mo.

Good start of the season, was a bit stationary round p9 finished p7( as a result of connection mishaps of others),nothing much to say, lost a place cause i was suprised by a stationary car(no.93, at 710 sec),the server was fine for the rest.

Cheers Dave. I believe that time is also a SRou lap record, but I can't see it listed for some reason  Huh

I must've forgotten to press the Big Red ButtonTM after updating the database. It seems to be there now.

Yep, thanks (for the delay) DG, it meant I got to keep hold of my record a little longer ..... but then me and Pops were hoping for rain, as the Vertigo was never going to keep the records otherwise!
