Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 469s

Backo attempts to pass Paul968 but runs out of room onto the grass, nudges Paul mid-corner then runs wide coming out of the corner again nudging Paul968. Although Backo had a decent run on Paul968 there really wasn't quite a passing attempt to be made. No incident report from Backo to hear his side of the tale either.

  • BACKO (Backo)caution — Back off if there isn't enought room to make the pass stick

Server replay time: 474s

Enzo attempts to take advantage of Paul968 losing a little momentum after the previous incident. However, he goes way too wide with all 4 wheels on the grasscrete at one point, then runs out of grasscrete and has to re-join the track still over half a cars length down on Paul968 and makes contact. This was an ill-judged attempt by Enzo and completely unnecessary.

  • Enzo (Enzo Amico)warning — Don't go off the track surface to try to make a pass.

Really sorry for not being able to join this race and the short notice! I have been trying to fix a network problem here but I give up!
The whole of the downstairs is knocked out and I cannot figure out what the problem is - can't get DHCP but nothing had changed so I don't get it!

Have a good race!

Looked like fun Smiley. Couldn't really race as PR was lagging/warping horribly and sorry for resultant crash mate. Maybe a TS channel to warn people of such events would be a good idea? Sorry for breaking race silence but it would have been carnage if the fastest came up to lap him.

Tyres tyres tyres!!!!

Apart from having no grip for the most part it was a great race. Thanks to MJ and James for the great race. Could have been a 4-way battle if Darren didn't spin out in the early stages. Managed to get up to 8th and then stuggled on tyres big time. Choose a medium/hard set-up thinking i'd be safe. Temps were fine but grip was limited. Lost it and gave my place to MJ and almost to James too. Felt quicker in a few places than MJ but could never get close enough to pull a move. After all the pressure in the first half, I tried to give some pressure in the 2nd half.

But pleased with 9th and it was a very enjoyable race. Even though I fought with the RSR most of the time!

amazing race.

Qualified 14th with a bad lap, was getting major badluck with traffic in qualy.Race started off ok but spun at last few corners taking me back down to 20th :/. Joined again and started clawing my way back with some great battles along the way best of all being with Mclean, sick of seeing the back of your car now Cheesy We had a great battle with a tvr aswell cant remember who one point we where 3 wide going into corner with me stuck in middle, decided to back out  Wink

Mclean eventually took the tvr with a great move which he had been trying for that past 20laps LOL, then i got stuck behind the tvr for a good few laps getting close enough to take him but he defended the corners well. Eventually he spun off into the wall with only a few laps remaining so after that i eased off to take 13th place.

Im still miles of the pace of everyone else but that race was the best and most exciting race ive done so far.

gr all and cgrats to podium.

Could have been a 4-way battle if Darren didn't spin out in the early stages.

It's a big shame I spun out early. The race was looking very promising during the first few laps.  I was sizing up MJ at every corner, but there was no way through.  Then coming out of turn 1 I clipped the curb and found myself at 90 degrees heading straight towards a wall.  no  I've put in hours of practise and have clipped that curb many times, but have never lost control. I guess I've been lucky.  Tongue

I came back on the track with slight aero damage just in front of the GTC podium battle.  I wasn't fully up to speed so I eased off to let them through.  This was a big mistake, because I found it almost impossible to overtake due to the excellent driving of Reign Man and Nev.  thumbup1

After eventually getting by Reign Man I tried to put Nev under pressure, but it was me that folded first; putting a tyre on the grass while under braking.  cursing  Unfortunately I stopped dead straight in front of Reign Man leaving him with nowhere to go but through me.  Sorry mate!!

This left me towards the back of the grid with even more aero damage.   Undecided

Over the last 15 minutes I made up a few places coming home in 14th just 1.5 seconds behind Chong..

Great racing guys, it's just a shame I can't say the same.  laugh

Good Race!

Started 15th behind chong but he made a mistake early on letting me by, then for the first quarter of the race i was keeping pace with Neveki in his Mosler the gap stayed around 1 second until I began to close the gap, I noticed he was going wide on some corners so i hoped that he would make a mistake to let me through. I was right behind Nevski when we past the recovering Darren.

Obviously he was much faster in his RSR but I was still able to keep him behind me while keeping up with Nevski, but at around the half way mark I made a mistake and got a terrible exit from the second chicane, he past me and within a lap he was on the rear end of Nevski who had opened up a Small gap (around 2 seconds).

A couple of laps later Darren spun again (Not having a good one were you Darren  Roll Eyes) I and I ploughed into the side of him. Sorry Darren I was concentrating on my braking point and did not look to the apex of the turn until it was too late.

We both got going again just in front of Mark Mclean and ChOng. I think Darren must have spun again (Really wasn't your race was it Darren!  Shocked) cuz he was no longer in my mirrors, but I could see the two RSR's of Mclean and ChOng, I tried to hold em up for as long as I could but I had massive understeer and I was fighting the TVR as well as Mclean and ChOng.

Mclean got by eventually and a couple of laps later I took a close up look at a wall, (and a really nice wall at that!  laugh) giving up 13th to ChOng. After hearing Darren pass me I rejoined the track and carefully went round for the last two laps to the finish.

Really disappointed at going off and hitting Darren, but other than that, it was very enjoyable.  Smiley

See ya at the next race

That was a cracking race, i couldnt rest from start to finish, pushing hard all the way. I thought i was in for a cracking battle with Darren and Colin as our times were pretty similar (within a few tenths) and i had finally done some 1:49.5's in full race trim with a setup tweak.
Qualied 11th in a fiercely contested grid and was reasonably pleased as a few tenths seperated several cars.

Race start went well, got a better blast from the line than Darren thanks to me being in 1st gear and slipped down the inside of him before turn1 and set about chasing Colin and James ahead. We had a great 4 way train going for a few laps until Darren went spinning off at T1 a few laps later.
I then sat within a second or so of Colin for about 20 minutes with James just ahead of him, really pushing hard but Colin drove faultlessly and i was wondering how i would get past him. Then James went off and we both moved up a place. Several laps later Colin made a mistake and i was able to scoot past up the inside to take 7th or 8th?.
It was now Colins turn to put me under pressure but i seemed to have enough on him to stay ahead. He would gain in some parts of the track but fall back in others and i was hoping his tyres were getting as tired as mine.
Felt very happy and relieved when i crossed the line ahead, even though i eased off a lap early thinking it was the final lap...could have been costly !
Great fun and good clean racing all round.  Cool  angel

Really wasn't your race was it Darren!

Definitely one to forget  Tongue

Race start went well, got a better blast from the line than Darren thanks to me being in 1st gear and slipped down the inside of him before turn1 and set about chasing Colin and James ahead.

I crossed the start/finish line and disabled the pit limiter, but quickly realised James and Colin were still using theirs.  So me being sporting/stupid (delete as appropriate) eased off for a second.  This allowed you to get the jump on me Mark.  Fair play to you...
