Championship Standings

Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

So there was some discussion in this thread about using the 934 or 964 here. I think the consensus in the end was that we would use the 934:

Quote
EDIT: I think I may have confused the numbers. I had another go with both, and with some setup time
the 934 is the best car at Monza, so we will use that one.

However, we still have the above header, and the 964 carrera cup car currently on the server. I'm ok if we use either, but I do think the 964 will be a bit of a snoozefest here, whereas the 934 will be anything but.. Thoughts?

Yes, I am still confused. If did testing, then I will go with the 934 as I remember it to be what you say
And I will make it "Group 4" so there is an option of the M1 Gr4 if anyone wants it.

Ok. Opening it up to both Group 4 cars is a good idea as the Porsche is not everyone's cup of tea. Note though that it will probably have a significant speed advantage at this circuit, although the easier handling and consistency of the M1 should even things out over a race distance.

My (limited) memory is that the M1 understeers like an oil tanker, but might be competitive
in the right hands.

I remember testing the 964 and 934 and the 934 was surprisingly drivable
I just incuded the M1 as an option.

Good battle with Frex for the first half of the race after we had both made terrible starts. With the benefit of the slipstream I was able to keep up & we swapped positions a few times. Then around half distance I nearly lost the car around the Curva Grande two laps running, car understeered up to a point then suddenly the rear would lose grip resulting in a big oversteery moment. These two errors gave Frex a 5s lead & without the tow he was faster than me & pulled away further in the remaining laps.

Congrats to Frex on the win & Mark in 3rd.  clap clap

Yes, as Geoff says a good battle between us and very close action, shame you dropped back towards the end. Big thanks to Matt (and Birger) for putting on a Group 4 race though, as I do enjoy these cars (have I mentioned that before?  Grin). Maybe we can try them again sometime at a track more suited to the strengths of the M1, to even the cars up a bit.

Congrats Geoff P2 and Mark P3.

I really enjoyed that. The 934 needs some care, I had the same issue a couple of times when I had a wheel on the inside kerb
in Curva Grande which made the back end move out.

I had an unexpected battle with Birger for most of the race. times say I had  better time
but we both had wobbly moments, and Pete was able to close up.

The M1 handled far nicer than the Porsche, less understeer, I couldn't get around Curva Grande without lifting due to the understeer in the Porsche.

I did think you guys had dropped to the back on purpose on the start...

Lonely race once the two of you came past..

I had deliberately cut the chicanes on a couple of laps to keep up  Embarrassed. I wouldn't have been fair. I was enjoying watching you and Matt fight for the position but I tried to not get involved.
