Two bits of news.

Firstly, Nigel Mansell will be sharing an F430 with the Scuderia Ecosse boys. He should be quick.

Secondly, and obviously much more importantly, RJN have confirmed that they will be running a 350Z 'Evo' in the new European GT4 which is supporting some of the FIA GT rounds this year. w00t

I haven't booked tickets yet because I don't know which day I'm going - hopefully Shark is coming too.

Timetable

90s revival series looks like fun too. Cheesy

I figured that at £20 for the event, that was the best way to go.  Especially as I'm a 20 minute drive away.  I'm intending to be there for the weekend, probably will go on Friday afternoon too as I work even closer to Silverstone.

yup. in fact, he'll be so quick he has selfinduced weight penalty installed (at least last time I saw him  Grin)

Other than Jonzo and me, did anyone else make it to this?  Cracking weekend - I was there all of Saturday and Sunday ..... and I think my hearing has returned to pre-howling-Lambo levels Grin.

Some of the support races were a bit pap (GT4 & GT 90's revival - mainly due to low numbers), but the GT3 and the main event were awesome.  Shame Silverstone seem to be trying to make it impossible to track who's where.  No matchup of position and car number like you get at Brands ..... grrrr.

Still, well worth the £20 for 2 days worshipping some tasty motors.

Still think the Vertigo looks better in blue though!

Glad I didn't bother yesterday as the GT4 350Z's electronic throttle failed closed on the first lap of the second race. :'( At least we beat the Porsche GCaymen on Saturday. Wink

it was a cracking day out. The sounds were unbelievable and watching them scream through becketts from different angles was simply superb !  Cool

The Lambo's screaming V12 and the corvettes brutal bass rumble were the best engine sounds without a doubt. Worth a £20 ticket anytime.
My ears are still ringing a day later but very glad i took the trip up there. Cool

Yes I remember being very impressed with the volume level when we went in 2005. I thought nothing could touch F1, but the GT cars were immense.

F1 cars make your ears hurt. Shocked

But a proper GT car makes your whole head vibrate in sympathy. Grin

Did you know official FIA events have, in effect, no noise limit? Lips Sealed

Just as well ...... they're not subtle, lacking sight and sound, you'd still know when they went by ..... awsome.
