2022 NoGrip Legacy TC Endurance Cup.

Description:
Splitted to it’s own series, Endurance Cup consists 8 endurance races.
The Classification system is same as in NoGrip legacy Historic TC series: four divisions and each having 2 classes.

Main rules:
Class rules:
4 races have 2 classes to choose from and 4 races have 4 classes to choose from. However you can only drive once per class. If you drive twice in some class, the worst result will be counted and other one will be count as zero. Also note that there’s only overall results based points system, but you need to drive in all classes.

Change to rules starting from 16th of September, 2022:
As there is very few guys who would have been driven in all events, I have decided to change the Cup rules in this point to allow multiple drives in same engine class. To make the change effect as little as possible those few who have been driving in every class, each drive in new engine class scores additional 9 points (making total of 72 points if all 8 classes gets driven), which will be summed in the end of the season to ending results to get the final classification.

So, there is no more limit how many times you drive in engine class, but you get 9 points bonus per each class you have driven in the end of the season.

Points system.
Points will be given by overall result, so no Class based points like in Historic TC Championships

In the end of the season worst result of the each racer will be deducted from the total points.

Shared events.
4 races are shared with Historic TC Championship, making the results countable in both championships. However, note that if you are truly going to run in both championships, your class / car selection in shared event will effect your options in later Endurance Cup only races.

As my real life seems to be really filled the whole May as well,
would it be bad idea to move the Nurburgring 500kms to late summer / autumn as well? That means we will run two extra long races in some layout of Nurburgring about month a part, but does that really matter?

How about 17.09.2022 or 24.09.2022?

To be honest Lasse, Saturdays are often not a good day for me during the summer months, so I would say do whatever suits your agenda.

Stupid question: What are the summer months in UK? I know that central Europe has their summer (vacations) later than Finland. It is not a rare sight Germans, French and some lonely Italians and Spanish wondering why everything is closed for the summer already in Finland in late August. But how about the UK?

Finnish summer is short but full of light. Even now sun rises already in 6.00 am  and sets about 9.30 pm. And I am in the coastal line of Finnish bay. So not that far north. June is the lightest month, but most of the finns have their vacations between mid june and mid august. In July Businesses are ran with minimal resources as most of the work force is on their vacations.

So, based on that, I suggested September, which is even called Syyskuu in Finnish... Straight forward translation to english would be Autumn month, but did not realize that September is still counted as summer month in other European countries. Smiley

Yeh, summer months are usually classed as June, July & August. For me though, I don't rule out every Saturday from now until the end of September, but I am often out most weekends until then. So as I said Lasse, arrange things to suit you, don't worry about others.

Yeah, I will do that. How ever I am interested to about stats to make it fit for most of the people. Smiley Thanks for the info though.

I am strongly giving a thought moving it to autumn, as it would fit better to myself and from previous years I know that May ain't the best month for the Saturday races; Quite few people have had problems to join.

Why not make it the season finale?

Maybe I will. Smiley
There is high probability that I need to rearrange the both series last month races, but that will be confirmed with in 2-3 weeks, so more about that later.

I have however decided to move Nürburgring 500kms to autumn part of the season as I can't give pre-work the time it deserves.

So the Nurburgring 500kms is postponed over the summer. The new exact date will be given before the summer break starts.
