Had great fun chasing Jeff for most of the race. I was at 100% but just couldn't close up on him. In the end I was lucky his tyres were wearing more than mine and his back end gave a massive wiggle allowing me to pass. I think it had to be something like that because I wouldn't have got past any other way. Great racing mate So fast and consistent Nice racing all

Grats to Jon on the win Uneventful race for me qualifying in 3rd and finishing in 3rd. I couldn't keep pace with the front runners in the opening laps but managed to hold the gap at 7secs for the rest of the race, prolly because they were scrapping and slowing each other. Only bit of action was breaking my accelerator pedal in half during qual, sore right foot now but still enjoyed the race and happy I was able to adapt my driving style after a 3 or so laps. Now, where did I leave the super glue?

Hi b***ger did it again but to much rear brake this time threw it in the barriers trying to out brake the morgans . think It would have been into the 42.8's without the mods to front end. never mind better luck next time.cheers gerald

Disapointing turnout considering that's only the 3 race of the championship but that didn't detract from providing a cracking race for me. I had not done any practice here in GTC let alone the Morgan but decided to take it for variety. My qually consisted of going out with my race setup to get some practice, couldn't get any tyre temperature so I dropped the pressures a bit just before race start. Did seem to help but I still had a few hugh slides and only just got the front left up to 80 during the race. When I got to the grid I was surprised to see 2 Morgans on the grid in front of my, not that they were in front but that others had taken the Morgan SbG and Mad-Ripp. I was hoping that as I qualified with a race setup I might be able to compete a bit until my wayward backend would catch me out. SbG led the group for a few laps until Mad got passed and started to eek out a small gap. That went when he ran wide somewhere and let SbG and myself through. I made a couple of small errors, too much grunt out of the corners, and lost a bit of time with the recovering Porkas coming through but always managed to close the gap back to SbG but couldn't get a run down the straight to get passed. Well chuffed to make a move stick in the end between T3 and 4, took 18 or more laps to do it Great racing SbG, hope you enjoyed it too. I got the impression my tyres lasted better and in the end this is what enabled me to get by.

Last minute choice to join tonight and delighted I did . Great race long battle with Picnic and Madd. Highlight had to be when picnic slammed the door on both of us as we tried to sneak up the inside, only shame was madd went off avoiding us . Amazingly close racing with no incidents. I dont know why my car was a mess through that chicane (a setup/practice might have helped ) but twas very tricky trying to hold you up there, and that was a great pass there Madd. Congrats to Picnic for being the fastest wooden/great sounding car . Will you both be doing that again, cause I quite fancy it.

With Simon accepting inevitable defeat for the Evil Shark Empire at the hands of my Team Oldie Mosler, and defecting to GT2 I was wondering if there was going to be any competition left for me in GTC. As it turned out, Paul968 had gone the other way and defected from GT2 to give me a serious run for my money in his own Mosler. What's more, he banged in a 1:40.1 early in qually which really is a great time with the extra ballast in the UKGTR version of the car. I wasn't confident I could match that in the time remaining, but late in the session I did get a blinder of a lap in and just nicked the GTC pole by 0.02 seconds. Sorry Paul Most of the race was uneventful for me, except for an incident early on with Darren's Porsche. I was a long way behind you approaching the braking zone at the end of the back straight, but suprised to find I was closing in at a rate of knots as I slowed for the left hander. So, I was forced to drive up the inside to avoid rear ending your Porka, and I believe we had side by side contact mid corner, which lost you a couple of seconds. Sorry about that mate, and sorry to hear a couple of other peeps rear ended you later in the race. I was doing consistent 41s from there on for the bulk of the race, until with about 3 minutes to go I suddenly realised I was running at a fuel deficit of more than half a lap So, I had to drive the last two laps in a high gear using about half throttle. This just got me to the finish line before the car spluttered to a halt. Luckily, I had a big enough gap over Paul that I still retained 1st place in GTC. This is my first win with Team Oldie, and is a present to this great bunch of guys for accepting me into their super cool Team

That's ok Nev, it happens. After you, Paul and Mark all clipped me in the space of a few laps I thought maybe I was warping all over the place, because you guys are normally the fairest drivers on here. Oh well, no harm done. My lack of practise meant my car just wasn't competitive and you guys would have passed me eventually anyway.

Very surprised I qualified 4th, even more so to finish fourth as I very rarely go near GT2.
Just could not get anywhere near the cars ahead and could not see how to get any faster. Ended up in a race of my own for most of the race. Car felt very stable and nice until last few laps and the tyres suddenly turned to plastic and I was struggling big time.
Still, I'm happy with 4th in the circumstances and with my lack of experience

I could be persuaded I was surprised there were so many free spaces on the server. No practice either and a horrid setup. When I campaigned the Morgan in S2 or S3 with Shark's setup help it was a lot tamer than tonight. But close racing is close racing

No, you were just too quick for us (well for me at least). I managed to stay with TS Junior newcomer Brian (great job on your debut for the Junior team btw!) for a few laps, but I just couldn't keep that pace going and watch the footy at the same time. More and more I was watching the footy rather than the road (well done Liverpool my boys great job! ) and my pace slipped enough for MarkMc to catch me up. Then Mark sat on my arse for a very long time not able to get by, except for one time where I managed to re-pass as he over cooked his overtake. But I just couldn't hold out forever and my earlier advantage at Parabolica evaporated as my left front melted into the tarmac finally giving Mark, with 5 minutes to go, a proper run on me to take the place and speed off into the distance. For the first time in any race I'd gone soft fronts and medium rears (usually mediums all round) and this worked for the most part till about 10 minutes to go when the wear on the left front was just too bad and where I had the advantage of softs it went with lack of grip on the worn tyre. Good battle Mark, fair play to you. With Simon accepting inevitable defeat for the Evil Shark Empire at the hands of my Team Oldie Mosler, and defecting to GT2 I was wondering if there was going to be any competition left for me in GTC.
LOL. To be honest I always wanted to drive the GTC Ferrari from the first race. After a lot of contemplation I finally decided to just drive what I wanted and sod what everyone else was driving. The extra practice this week really paid off. Something I've not really had much chance to do for ages and was very very pleased to get 5th on the grid it meant it had been worth while. Well done Jon on your win and Nev in GTC.

Seriously annoyed. Tried to get onto the grid and kept appear 'in the earth' way under the grid with a grid position -1. Kept escaping and trying again but it wouldn't fix When we've seen problems like that before it's been because the person involved had a less than 100% connection. With only 20 on the grid it seems like the most likely explanation.

If turnout stays low I might just dust off the 350Z and see what it can do in GTC... Pity there isn't a Vertigo underground in the sprints.
