aaargh, bastard pc crashed out right before we went to grid.   cursing By the time i got back in i was a lap down so was pointless continuing  Cry  thought id make it as Tim normally has us sat on the grid for a couple of mins. Dammit was 4th too and would have had a good 3 way fight with others on similar time.

Bad luck Mark - the server is still set to 1M30 (any shorter risks people missing the start if they change anything setup related) so we're only 30 seconds shorter than previously.
As you joined us a lap down you were always going to miss the start sadly Sad

That was another highly enjoyable round - again I had Jos breathing down my neck for the opening 6 laps or so, then started to loose pace around when all my pressures had stabilised and I could get a rhythm going.
As I mentioned after the race, I think you may have had your pressures too high given that your pace always seems to drop off after the opening segment of the race and around when my car starts to perform properly (get Pro-tires!).

After Jos had dropped back I switch from doing near qualifying laps to a more conservative method (3rd in a lot of places I had been using 2nd, less heavy sliding etc) which was only a few tenths slower - for a while this seemed to hold me static against Jos again until he started to drop again in the closing section of the race.
I've not seen that part of the replay yet but if you were still using 2nd in the early T1-T3 chicane/hairpin things then you were likely exciting your rears too much given the amount of grip left by then.

This was the first round where I actually changed my setup much from Stock, and I have to say it made the car much more alive - although it takes a lot more effort to keep straight now Grin

It will be interesting to test. I finally did the hop for ProTires just before this series starts. The setup you're talking about has been made thanks to it (unless Jos made some changes before the race). All is consistantly green after 2-3 laps.
I can't make any further tests as I'm still unable to drive for now.

Congrats on your win and to my team mate for bringing back a beautiful P2, nice P3 for Fabri too. Sad that Lorenzo wasn't there on this round to give this top end more density and keep fighting for the championship.
Regarding myself, I can have a bit of regrets but health and pain govern..  Cry Roll Eyes Grin

Enjoyable race although didn't really battle with anyone. Fabri was just a little too quick ahead & similarly I was just a shade faster than Stefan behind so both gaps increased during the race. Nearly threw it away with a big sideways moment 2 laps from the end but fortunately the car didn't spin & I only lost a couple of seconds. Shame Mark had PC troubles as we were quite close in qualifying times & potentially could have had a good race.

Congrats to Tim, Jos & Fabri.  clap clap clap

Indeed, this was an enjoyable round although I missed my teammate (hope you get better soon  thumbup1 ). A fantastic track and great match to  the Skoda 130R.
I tried keeping up with the brutal pace that Tim imposed from the very beginning even improving my best time at qualy and getting in the 55's but not even with those improvements I could challenge  alien that keep being untouchable for us mere mortals  Wink

Regarding my declining pace, I just switch to a more conservative mode and make more mistakes as the race goes by when I'm not in a fight with some chances... Once I lost the rear of Tim's car I lost focus and made more mistakes. It'll be good to test lower pressures on the rear those for next race... Let's see if it give us a better edge....

Congrats to Tim and Fabri and well done all. Sorry to hear about Mark's problems. It was good to see him there despite his other race. Hope to see you in the next one.

Looking forward to the next round.

The video of the race as usual here: https://youtu.be/xN-UkGWbAF0

Enjoy!
