Moderator's Report

Just one amendment to the result, which is to exclude a non-scoring driver accidently driving a scoring car.
Details of car choices for full time Masters drivers driving in the Clubman events, or vice versa, are given in the race announcement posts.

Can we have a cut off time for postponing the race? Time is precious and I don't want to put in practice for the race only to see it wasted.

I was just thinking the same thing - but this is the wrong thread. Wink

So it is! I saw you post on the other thread and then Pete's, so it's rather a moot point now. Thanks for the cutoff anyway  Smiley

Looking forward to it. Was on for a bit of action and joined a public server. Guess who I met - another hungry driver from our League.  Cheesy

Can't make this one as new system is still not up and running properly yet, and ISP is winding me up promising to fix line speed issues and not doing so...
Hopefully back on track next weekend  Huh

Im not quite sure how to describe that race! A few very high highs  Grin and low points  :'(

I spent the entire day practicing and it showed as i got my highest quali ever  8th  Cheesy

The race started very well with myself PRibeiro scrapping but I couldnt keep up, eventually the GTC boys caught me and when I went wide to let a GT1 go through 2 or 3 of them trid to squeeze through and I tagged one of them, ill wait for the replay before I apologise or moan  Huh

Unfortunaltely that incident pretty much killed my race as I lost the right front and bumper.

After pitting for more than 2 minutes, I pretty much gave up the will to live.

Apologies to Adam, who I started to race towards the end, I spun in front of you and you hit me. I guess I had no right to be racing you as I was 2 laps behind, so apologies and really hope i didnt ruin your race.

But none the less cant think of a better way to have spent my day Smiley  Grin

Man that was quite hard work.

Decided to rejoin and start from the back to give me maximum fun. And fun it was. The Viper ate all the Porka's and Vertislows big time. It was just hard to go in a corner  Tongue.

After gaining a few places it was a matter of crawling to the others, Nev and Simon. I was gaining right up before the stops when Simon and me went in at the same time, but he fueled up 6L more and had a 7s lead   Shocked. So it was back to fighting.

Again I was gaining on Simon as he was in tyre conservation mode  sleep1(sorry for the foul language Dave  Wink) and I overtook him, just for him to overtake me again  Grin. But he made a doodoo before the back straight and I could outbrake him again, and on the corner exit Simon tried to avoid an imaginary women I think, as he was all over the place  Tongue.

Then I was trying to overtake SbG, but I had bad luck with being lapped. 4 Times in a row I had to make room in the first twisty part, which cost me 1,5s each time. Just back luck nothing more, so I hoep I didn't hold up and GT1's.

Man that was hard going. Had put a bit of practice in but not at track temperatures of 49degrees, which knocked the living daylights out my tyres.

Not as quick as I had been off line but I guess everyone would be in the same boat with the heat.

I don't think times are much slower than sprint or what the masters will do next time out. A few guys in this class really are masterclass.

Had battles throughout the race. If it was not Jure it was Mark all over my backside. The only downside was the nudge I got that spun me. I was lifting off to allow backmarker time and space and I guess that caught the car behind me out. Jure took full advantage and sped past.

After pit stops and a couple of laps got within a 1sec of Jure but again tyres shot to pieces and started losing ground.

Had the disappearing fuel situation again. Computer showed I had enough for 14 laps with 18mins to go, I finished with less than 1 lap's worth left.

Well done all class winners and especially the two in my class Backo and Jure. You guys were very quick/

Like that track but just didn't perform at all well tonight. Qualified dead last in GT1 and never looked capable of catching anyone else, compounded by some misunderstandings with slower cars, some of whom I rear ended - sorry to at least pseueueuedo and SbG and probably more I've forgotten - need to see the replay as there were a few occaisions where I felt the car in front suddenly lifted off on corner exit or braked very early with me behind, with predictable results.

Had to have my front end hammered back into shape during my stop - without that I might've challenged for 5th but in the end I doubt I had enough speed for even that. Undecided
