Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 383s

Darren takes it easy under braking at the end of the back straight because he has SbG on his inside. Madd misses his braking point and rear ends him, with Madd coming off substantially worse as he spun to the back of the field. It's evident from the replay that Madd tried to swerve left at the last moment but left it too late.

  • Madd-RIPpenalty — rear ending SbG on the first flying lap — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1031s

The M3 of Anthony Humphreys was turned around by Nev a few corners before and several cars had slipped by, including Bernie Lomax in the Morgan. As they approach turn 12, Bernie is on the left as they come out of the fast left hand kink of T11, with Ant behind and to the right.

As they reach the tyre marks in the braking area for T12, Bernie jinks slightly to the right just before he brakes, and Anthony moves slightly let; Ant suddenly finds himself two feet too far to the left and runs straight into the back right corner of Bernie's car, spinning him off.

Anthony waits for Bernie to rejoin and rejoins behind him, losing three places in the process.

Looking at Anthony's braking point on previous laps, I believe he missed his braking point entirely. He could also have positioned his car further to the right, which would not only have given him a safety margin under braking, but also a good chance of passing Bernie again into T13. Unfortunately he did not submit his side of the story so by default I feel obliged to issue a penalty.

Does the lower spec RS fall into GT2 or GTC class?

See topic HERE.

I'm confused: your link, Shark, points to the post where the cars Porsche GT3 Cup, BMW Z3M and Chrysler Viper CC are stated in the same class - GT3.  Results for S5E Clubmen (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?ind=lm2&event=362) state Viper CC as a G3 class.  Huh   While Viper CC is surely faster it would be clear what is what.  Smiley

Yeah I know, which is presumably why we were confused to find the ViperCC and Cup in different classes at the race at the weekend.

That's the latest list that I know about, perhaps Gizmo can produce a fresh list or correct that one?

The Viper is supposed to be GT3 I think but I'm too tired, overworked and apathetic to care right now. Does somebody want to work out which events in Season 5 it's in the wrong class in the results and when I'm more awake I'll fix it.

If that's the reason then it's cool with me. I admire you Dave (and other mods), how you find the time and will to do all this. Me - I only drive and even that is too much sometimes. Glad to have ya.  Smiley

Thanks Ruskus, all fixed now, was just pointing to the wrong mapping - not surprising as I had accidently put the word 'Elise' in front of the car's name! Embarrassed laugh
