Season 40 takes us on a Scandinavian based competition with a few excursions into other Northern countries.

Round 7 gives us a fast flowing circuit with plenty of room for slipstreaming and overtakes.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.
Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Handicapping
Drivers are required to drive all 7 cars and no car can be driven more than twice.

Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 reported incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty.

Unlimited resets will be allowed with no need to make a S&G in the pit lane.

Whats that? Roadblock? Never heard about it. Have good Training and Setup for Borovaya. So come on. Why a Lastminute change of track?

The circuit was changed from Borovaya to Roadblock back in March after developments in Ukraine, and the schedule on the ANNOUNCEMENTS page was updated at that time. It was felt that it was the correct thing to do.  Undecided

Clive,
Fully support the choice of track.

It's quite easy to learn with some great flowing corners & not too much scenery to hit.

A 33 lap race suggests a lap time of low 1,20's. Either I am incredibly slow (a distinct possibility) but I can't see a '65 car getting round here in much less than 2 minutes.

Yes, it seems so...  Shocked

Borovaya is near Minsk in Belarus and created by Gaus

He made Bikernieki, Borovaya and Neva Ring, all Soviet-era circuits.
And if I look at his SRMZ profile, he's from Donetsk, Ukraine.

That's a bit awkward.

Gaus also developed the latest and much more accurate version of Road Atlanta.  I assisted in the development.

The decision to switch from Borovaya to Roadblock was made with the best of intentions after Russia invaded Ukraine.

It was purely to move our small event away from a Russian circuit and hold it on a Scandinavian track ( even though Roadblock is a fantasy circuit ) . Perhaps, in hindsight, I could have looked into the origins of the Borovaya circuit in GPL and discovered that the creator is Ukranian. TBH we were concerned that some members might boycott the race if we kept the race at a Russian circuit  Undecided

No slight or insult was intended against Gaus or his excellent work, and we thought that we had made the decision and posted the change on the Announcements page early enough for drivers to raise their views.

Not a moment to rest & that was near the back.  Thanks TJ for the pull/push for many laps!
